:bighug:I can't think of any comforting words right now but I can spend a moment of time honoring you and Mia and sour love for each other. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry for your loss :( I remember Mia and how much I enjoyed her contributions here and was very saddened to learn she'd passed on.

The Princess was one of my favorite people in the world. SHE TOOK ME SHOE SHOPPING!!!

After she died, i had to take time off of the Fogbow. Maybe I’ll hang out more now that a year has passed. We’ll see.

Today marks two years since my beloved Mia (Princess foofypants) passed from this earth. At time it feels like it's been forever and at times as if it were just yesterday.

Time has not erased her memory. Far from it. I still find myself sitting on the couch watching a British murder mystery (which she absolutely loved) and pausing the show and begin talking to her then realizing she is no longer there.

I miss her still every day. Besides my children, she was the most wonderful thing that every happened to me. We had a wonderful time together, it was just too damn short.

And yes, baby, I still have your crazy cat, Peanut, who you made me promise to take care of. And she's still crazy.

I love you, baby. And always will.

First Obot I ever met. We had lunch at a restaurant near my dad's place, and I brought my dad and kids.

Alex was fascinated by her blingy phone. He was 7, too young to discuss current events in the world. But my dad couldn't stop talking about her for a few days, he was so impressed. He met her again (and you) at MetoDC's townhouse in our nation's capital, years later.

Some of the times we met, she was in awful pain from one ailment or another. But she never grumped about it. You were much more likely to see a smile on the princess's face than a frown.

In the earliest days of the birther movement, the birthers made all these wild claims about Kenya, where Obama's father was born, and Indonesia, where he lived for several years as a child.

But the princess had lived in Kenya as a child. She had lived in Indonesia as a child. She was the daughter of a diplomat, and she had direct, personal, authoritative experience as to what happened to American children in those countries.

OMG, how they hated her for that.

But it don't mean a thing, because the good people loved her, and still do.

I remember (my enduring memory) sitting with Princess, Tes, and maybe W4 in the lounge at the Claremont Hotel in Phoenix, my first meetup. Princess was sitting with her back to the walkway, long red hair flowing down the back of the chair.

We were chatting and watching the wedding band pack their instruments up and take them to the cars. After a couple of trips, one man stopped behind Princess, lovingly ran his hands down her hair a couple of times and said to no one in particular “I want this one” in a hushed voice. He smiled at her and left.

She was totally cool. “This happens to me all the time” she shrugged.

As far as we can tell, that was true. She had an amazing presence.
