Actually, we don't need a clown who can't even find a comb to run the world's response to the invasion of Ukraine. Joe is doing a fine job of that, why don't you spend your time trying to fix Brexit, you wanker.

Russian gymnast Ivan Kuliak wears pro-war Z symbol on podium, standing next to Ukrainian competitor

Kuliak taped the Z symbol — seen on Russian tanks and military vehicles in Ukraine and embraced by supporters of the war — to his vest for a medal ceremony at a World Cup event on Saturday in Doha, Qatar.

He took bronze in parallel bars and stood next to a gold medallist from Ukraine.

"Z" is the new "L" for loser! :boxing:

The article neither named nor pictured the gold medalist from Ukraine.

There are different grades of coal. When the utility I work for switched to Western coal (for environmental reasons), it cost about $20 million to make the conversion, and the process is less efficient in certain ways (we are unable to produce as much power as before). But it knocks the pollution down a lot. In any case, it's not as simple as you might think to switch to a different source of coal.

NB: we shut down one of our coal burning plants just over a year ago, and the remaining one shuts down next year

From the wiki:
Note GS1 member companies can manufacture products anywhere in the world and can license prefixes from the GS1 organisation of their choice, GS1 prefixes do not identify the country of origin for a given product.

McDonald's to temporarily close 850 stores in Russia
DETROIT — McDonald’s said Tuesday it is temporarily closing all of its 850 restaurants in Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

The burger giant said it will continue paying its 62,000 employees in Russia “who have poured their heart and soul into our McDonald’s brand.” But in an open letter to employees, McDonald’s President and CEO Chris Kempckinski said closing those stores for now is the right thing to do.

“Our values mean we cannot ignore the needless human suffering unfolding in Ukraine,” Kempczinski said.

Kempczinski said it’s impossible to know when the company will be able to reopen its stores.

And how cool that they’ll keep paying their employees. Not sure how long they can keep that up, though.

If Donnie ever gets his private jet flying..
He should avoid going to the UK in it..

Britain impounds Russian plane after launching new aviation sanctions

Britain unveiled new aviation sanctions on which give the power to detain any Russian aircraft and banning exports of aviation or space-related goods to the country, saying it had already impounded one plane.

The measures to strengthen action against Russian aircraft mean it is a criminal offence for any to fly or land in the United Kingdom.

The ban includes any aircraft owned, operated or chartered by anyone connected with Russia or designated individuals or entities, and will include the power to detain any aircraft owned by persons connected with Russia, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

"Banning Russian flagged planes from the UK and making it a criminal offence to fly them will inflict more economic pain on Russia and those close to the Kremlin," foreign minister Liz Truss said.

The foreign office said it would lay new legislation to implement the measures, which also include a power to remove from the British aircraft register any aircraft belonging to sanctioned Russian individuals and entities.
