So sorry to hear this Orly, my sincere condolences.

There's really no good way for us to express how sorry we all are to hear about your father, but believe us when we say we are all sending our love and positive thoughts to you right now.

As we Heathens say when someone starts the next stage of their journey "Hail the Traveler!" May his new journey be even more amazing than this one has been!

Dear friends, I'm so sorry to let you know that last night my Mom passed away now too.

My Daddy passed Thanksgiving Day in Connecticut, he and my Mommy were divorced 40 years and she lived in California. Mom had dementia but this was sudden, she was in a rehab hospital full time but she suddenly deteriorated and went to a Kaiser hospital for only three or four days. As an only child, I'm devastated. It was less than two months between them and I was still grieving over Daddy. And still working on his estate and the huge number of details. I'm sorry I haven't been more active here, it's been unbearably hard for me.

I'm so grateful to all my friends here, you are all wonderful, loving, and special people. I'd appreciate your prayers and/or good thoughts as I learn to navigate without my two best friends. It made me happy seeing Root Beer and Biscuit's photo posted, and your great posts gave me some laughs when I really need them. I love you all.

It's hard. In time we remember how grateful we are to have had them, even if lost too soon. For me, especially about my Mom who had early Alzheimer's which wasn't even a thing in the 1970's. It's hard. It gets better. Love yourself and chat if you want to.

Orlyicious, so sorry that the loss of your mother comes while you are already suffering the pain of loss of yourself father. I hope you have someone to lean on at such a devastating time. Sending thoughts from a far away stranger.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Orlylicious. Especially so soon after the loss of your dad. I lost my parents within a year and it was such a difficult thing to deal with. Your Fogbow family is here for support.
