Don't they have enough problems there to deal with?

Former Vice President Mike Pence made more than $7 million since 2022, buoyed by $3.4 million in speaking fees and more than $1.4 million for a book advance, according to his personal financial disclosure obtained by CREW. Hoosier Heartland, an LLC Pence set up for “speaking, writing and consulting,” earned him an additional $2.2 million.
Of the speaking fees that have been broken out individually, the largest was a $550,000 payment for a speech to the Universal Peace Federation in South Korea. His trips to South Korea were lucrative, with Far East Broadcasting paying him $248,000 and The Chosunilbo adding another $240,000, for a total of more than a million dollars.
Overseas speeches tended to pay Pence his highest rate, as the National Council of Resistance of Iran paid him $190,000 for a speech in Albania. Domestically, six figure payments came from organizations including Associated Equipment Distributors, OIAC, Colorado Christian University, Provisional International, Impact Partnership and 40 Days for Life.
Pence also earned between $100,000 and $1 million in investment income from a family trust. His wife’s biggest source of income was a $75,000 book advance. Early in his political career, Pence struggled with money, using political donations to pay his mortgage, credit card bill, groceries and car payments (legally, at the time). Being a former vice president and future presidential candidate seems to have paid off for him.
Shades of McCain's "[Obama] is a decent, family man" moment.@Mike_Pence is confronted by an Iowa voter on his handling of the Electoral College count on January 6th. "I'm sorry ma'am, but that's actually what the Constitution says. No Vice President in American history ever asserted the authority that you have been convinced that I had."

Former Pence aide Keith Kellogg, who just endorsed Trump, backed Pence’s moves on January 6

CNN — Former Vice President Mike Pence’s national security adviser Keith Kellogg – who endorsed Donald Trump’s reelection campaign on Tuesday – urged Pence to finish certifying the 2020 election “TONIGHT” while the US Capitol was still being secured during the January 6, 2021, insurrection.
Kellogg’s private comments became public when a top Pence aide, Marc Short, read aloud from the email exchange in an interview Tuesday with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.”
In the email, Kellogg told Short he would “recommend you stay on Hill and finish the Electoral College issue TONIGHT.” When Short replied that this was their intention, Kellogg said it was “not a good… but a GREAT plan” and further encouraged Pence to “close this thing out.”
These private comments sharply diverge from what Trump and his team wanted Pence to do that night. Trump allies Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman asked Pence and GOP lawmakers to further delay the Electoral College certification even after the riot was quelled, according to the federal indictment against Trump, as well as evidence uncovered by the House select committee that investigated January 6.
“On January 6th, Keith was clearly supporting the vice president’s actions,” Short said in the CNN interview. “I know that he’s still on Donald Trump’s payroll and perhaps that’s why he’s saying something different today.” Kellogg currently works for the America First Policy Institute, a pro-Trump nonprofit that employs many former Trump administration officials.
