This is the Pence hearing, they started with videos of threats to hang Pence and harm other members of congress. I think I'm getting PTSD flashbacks. (shiver)

One witness, Mr. Jacob, was with Pence as they fled for their lives on Jan 6. This could get good.

Judge Luttig speaks v e r y slowly and very clearly. This may take a while. Maybe he's trying to explain it to trump?

That's just how he talks. He is the same way in the Frontline interview.

The judge spoke in the same manner in an interview I saw a few days ago. He almost seems pained and a bit anguished.

It's like he omits all the filler language so they don't have to in the transcript.

I'm going to have to get used to this. I thought Luttig was asleep for a couple of seconds there, but he was just doing his thing.

Started to listen on NPR and they’re having technical difficulties, missed half the testimony so far - and all of the Judge’s - and my internet connection sucks today so I’m having a hard time getting anything else.

is tfg sabotaging?

Yeah, I really wanted to watch the Frontline interview, but I only made it a very short time before I had to nope out. Or risk a nap.

The word "crazy" is coming up a lot from witnesses and video interviews re: Eastman's theory that VEEP can pick the president.

texts from Hannity to Meadows. He was very worried about trump sabotaging himself. Deep down, the sob knew trump was fucking everything up.

On Jan 5, Jacob talked to Eastman about his crap going before SCOTUS, and Eastman admitted he'd lose 9-0. He knew he was talking bullshit.

Hannity's texts to Mark Meadows finally appear on Fox News

Hannity is becoming a bad word in some RWNJ circles, I’ve noticed in the last couple days.

Also, tfg demands to be heard! He must really not like what is going on today.

Per Jacobs, on Jan 4, Eastman had abandoned his rejected electors scenario but came in the morning of Jan 5 having done a 180 and now said Pence should reject electors.

Did trump threaten Eastman or bribe him?

Had Pence rejected the electors, Eastman was hoping the "courts would stay out of it" because it was a political issue... :confuzzled: :confuzzled:

In the disputed states, no legislature had a majority of congress critters pushing for an alternate slate, it was just a few vocal trumpanzees.
Per Jacob.

Jacob asked Eastman, can't we agree this is a terrible idea? (probably not verbatim) and Eastman hesitated to agree but said something to the effect of it obviously won't happen.

(Jacob and Eastman both went to the University of Chicago Law School (?) and thus "we should both agree this isn't constitutional" (again, paraphrasing)

Eastman knew the "Pence calls the election winner" theory was too crazy to work but he did hope Pence would return the electors back to the state by putting the process into a 10 day recess.

Per Jacob.
If the seditionists got the chance, they were gonna send people down there to bribe and or strong-arm more votes.

They would have 5-10 days, and people like Roger Stone with access to $$.

"Eastman agreed there was no there there" right before Pence was called into the Oval.

I bet Pence, and the Pence 2024 team, is loving this. He's looking like quite the hero, standing up to trump.

Jacob, Eastman were on a phone call with trump(?) and Eastman said he " heard loud and clear" we would not be rejecting electors, but would Pence consider the 10 day recess before certification.

Talking about trump's bs statement that he and Pence were in total agreement that Pence could overturn the election.

Pence and Jacob were "shocked and disappointed" at whomever put that statement out because it was categorically(?) untrue. Trying to listen and type at the same time. Im not good at it.

Mark Short(?) said the above statement was false but he'll leave it to the committee to figure out who put out the statement. Jason Miller admits Pence was not in agreement.

So rump tells Pence If he doesn't "do this", he won't be Pence's friend anymore. WooBoy.

Short was concerned how trump "lashed out" at Pence and he wanted to make sure the Secret Service was aware of the danger Pence was in. Now going into 10 minute recess but they're teasing they'll resume with evidence of the danger trump put Pence in.
