The case was Freeman et al. v. Hoft et al., No. 2122-CC09815-01 (Mo. Cir. Ct.). and it's CourtListener page is https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/61 ... er_by=desc

But it was remanded and I can't find the docket for the Circuit Court. I'd appreciate it if somebody could find it because I'd like to add it to the Protopage.
The Guardian had this article today -

Workers at far-right site Gateway Pundit feared credibility issues, filing shows
Employees of the far-right website Gateway Pundit, which has played a key role in spreading lies about the 2020 election, were worried contributors were not credible and expressed concerns about plagiarism, a court filing last month revealed.

Lawyers for Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss, two Georgia election workers suing the site for defamation, made the disclosure in a 16 April court filing seeking a court order forcing the website to turn over more internal documents. They said they had obtained text messages from Gateway Pundit’s director of operations and associate editor “expressing concerns that a contributor engaged in plagiarism and made claims without any sources”.

“Documents produced by third parties but not by Defendants show that TGP’s staff had major concerns as to the professionalism, reliability, and honesty of several contributors, including Jordan Conradson, who wrote some of the defamatory Articles,” the lawyers wrote in the filing in circuit court in St Louis, Missouri.

California man charged with threatening to kill Fani Willis
The man, Marc Shultz, posted multiple comments last October under two separate YouTube livestream videos

A California man has been charged with sending death threats to Fani Willis, the Fulton county district attorney who is overseeing the Georgia prosecution against Donald Trump over his alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the state.

The man, Marc Shultz, suggested that Willis “will be killed like a dog” in one of several comments he posted under two separate YouTube live streams, according to the US attorney’s office for the northern district of Georgia.

He was charged with transmitting interstate threats to injure Willis because of her prosecution of the former president, prosecutors said.

The precise circumstances surrounding Shultz’s threats were not immediately clear on Friday. But the canine remark, which came as Trump ramped up his attacks on prosecutors, closely echoed language Trump has used in the past to describe a killing.

Here we go again.

Is this an automatic stay, or do defendants need to get one granted?

I have not heard stay (and I've been looking). Media doesn't give a shit, just assuming.

OTOH, not a lot going on in the case lately, so I actually have no idea.

I'll take the counterpoint on this. IMO, there was no chance of resolution by the election either way. Indeed, I think they appealed the charges (which include the phone call fuckhead made to Rathlesburger (sp) and the charge of election interference!) exactly because there is no chance of finishing this year. I was glad they did it. I even thought they should gone to a grand jury to get the charged corrected and reinstated in full--which would have taken quite a while.

GA / Fulton Cty is famous for taking years to bring large cases to resolution. McAfee agreeing to hear the idiotic conflict charge, or whatever it was, made a pre-election case impossible--and his ludicrous "appearance of conflict" decision put the cap on it. #lifeintheautocrisy

BUT...But....but... the bank holdup was over in three minutes...

Trump co-defendant's attorney says client only conspired as fake elector for '26 minutes'

David Edwards
May 29, 2024 3:01PM ET

Georgia state Sen. Shawn Still (R) should have charges against him in Donald Trump's election interference case dropped because he only participated in the conspiracy for 26 minutes, an attorney argued Wednesday.

At a Fulton County Superior Court hearing, an attorney for Still told Judge Scott McAfee that his client did not deserve to be included in an indictment with other co-defendants in the case.

"Mr. Still was indicted for his activity on one day and one day only," the attorney said, referring to a meeting of so-called fake electors. "The meeting on December 14, zero beforehand and zero afterwards. The indictment goes to a meeting that he attended that lasted approximately 30 minutes. He has only been charged for his activities as an elector, nothing else."

"His RICO charge and the eight substantive counts are all with respect to assembling peacefully with other citizens for 26 minutes precisely, listening to information about a lawsuit seeking redress from the government in terms of the outcome of the election," he continued.

The defense attorney also dismissed Still's role as secretary of the meeting.

Georgia elections board member denies plans to help Trump subvert election
State GOP praises appointment of podcast host Janelle King as ‘integrity-minded’ as she replaces more moderate Republican

George Chidi in Atlanta, Georgia
Mon 3 Jun 2024 12.00 CEST

A new appointee to the Georgia state board of elections has elicited questions about whether she may be part of preparations to subvert the election on behalf of Donald Trump and others who are hoping to cast doubt on results that don’t go his way.

Those fears are unfounded, she said.

The Georgia speaker of the house appointed Janelle King, a Black conservative podcast host and Republican party hand, to a critical fifth seat on the board of elections in May. The state GOP applauded the replacement of a more moderate Republican with King, seeing her as a vote for “election integrity” ahead of a critical presidential election.

But King flatly denies that she intends to interfere in the state’s elections as a board member or that she has had contact with the Trump campaign or its surrogates with regard to her appointment.

“I’ve heard several rumors about what I’m going to do or not going to do,” King said. “And the way I see it is that this is what people expect of me and what they perceive. But I’ve never been one to do anything based off of what other people want. I like being fair, I like getting good sleep at night.”

CNN: Trump appeal to remove Willis from Georgia election subversion case set for October, likely putting trial past Election Day:
The Georgia Court of Appeals has set a tentative date of October 4 to hear oral arguments in the effort to have Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis removed from prosecuting the election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others.

The possibility that the disqualification fight could stretch to October, as well as an ongoing question about how the Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling on presidential immunity could impact the prosecution, makes it extremely unlikely Trump will go on trial for election subversion in Georgia before Election Day.
Justice delayed, etc.

Just making it official:

I would be surprised if the Georgia appellate court issued a ruling before election day. But even if it did, it would be little effort to delay further proceedings until after election day. And it will take some time to ramp up in trial court once it returns.

There is some chatter about how some defendants (but not the marquee one) could still go to trial relatively soon. But I doubt that actually will happen.
