I've never had any more than answering questions trouble getting into Canada, they questioned the two cartons of cigarettes on the passenger seat once several years ago when I smoked. I have a Global Entry card for getting home.

I think if they identify these knutsacs they need to go on a "Phuck with them as much as the law provides tools to do so with" list that means crossing the border either way becomes a 12 hour ordeal involving safety inspections, cargo unload contraband checks and body cavity searches. Welcome to Canada, asshole!

Following the injunction, Windsor Police put out a statement to "make demonstrators clearly aware that it is a criminal offence" to block the border crossing. The police added that a criminal conviction could lead to the seizure of vehicles and the inability to enter the US.

But hours later, crowds of people waving Canadian flags flouted the order and continued to occupy the bridge.

Police added on Saturday: "We urge all demonstrators to act lawfully [and] peacefully. Commuters are still being asked to avoid the areas affected by the demonstrations at this time."

Hundreds of other protesters continue to demonstrate in the centre of Ottawa, the nation's capital. Two other border crossings with the US are also being blocked by anti vaccine mandate protesters.



"If you join the protests because you are tired of Covid, you need to understand that you are breaking laws. The consequences are becoming more and more severe," he warned.

"You don't want to end up losing your licence, end up with a criminal record, which will impact your job, your livelihood, even your ability to travel internationally, including to the US."

(CNN) - While protests by truckers and others against Covid mandates continue to occupy Canada's capital, block US-Canada border crossings and add to supply chain headaches, Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said he hopes trucker protests come to the United States as soon as this weekend to "clog up" major US cities.

One of the most significant recent developments in US deterrence has been to expose Putin’s plans and information operations before he can deploy them. Gen. Philip Breedlove, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO, calls this “meeting the threat, at threat speed.” This is a key shift, and if we had made this shift ten years ago it is likely that we would be on an entirely different timeline.

The first invasion of Ukraine in 2014 likely wouldn’t have happened (in fact, then DIA head Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn seems to have purposely avoided sharing intel that Putin would invade); the 2016 election interference would not have been so damaging if we’d shut it down and exposed it in real-time; and the myriad of information operations that included QAnon and led to January 6th would not have had the same results.

We didn’t so much fail to connect the dots (trust me, I worked with many people who connected the dots, and many people had that intel); our government failed to act on the information by widely sharing a credible intelligence picture. The New York Times featured a piece today discussing the Biden administration’s “new” strategy of declassifying, in real time, information that would stymie Putin’s plans. This is what we should have been doing all along, and it needs to extend beyond the narrow bounds of the Ukraine conflict to include intelligence about Putin’s fascist international Fifth Column operation.
