Oooo, X-Creamy is X-nice!
I'm liking this one, too! I used to use the Orange one, then after someone mentioned how much they like X-Creamy I decided to give it a shot. Way good!

I can't find where to fix those two. Are you using plain Digi or one of the Digi colors?

John P added a Scribd link and it embedded the document (could be viewed without going to Scribd's site) on my laptop and iPad.

Don't tell Stern, because it's just another thing working well. I don't think he can take much more.

I love the upgrade. Could the next unread rectangle go back to orange in Prosilver? The red just looks wrong.

The color seems to be the same to me. I just wish it would open the unread forum when I tap or click on the larger circle at the left. It only does when I'm in "active topics."

I've pretty much fixed what I can fix. If there's a new version of Recent Topics I'll install it when it's released. No, I can't change individual colors on a board style.

The involuntary logout problem has occurred for me before. When I switched to Cteamy tbhe problem started Occurring every 30 minutes or so I decided to report it. Could Creamey have a timer that dislikes my reading The Atlantic?

I don't think so, Tollie. A board style is just a set of instructions for how to render a web page, and a set of images for buttons and stuff. It doesn't care what other web sites you visit.

Well, it still happens to me at,least twice a day. Does it have anything to do with being logged in on two separate devices at the same time?

I have been using up to three different devices at a time and it was smooth reading, never got kicked in painful regions ;) Of course need to remember to finish reading the current thread, cause the next interaction on a different device will show the next unread page.

Actually, I suspect the logging out problem is related to the high security system that has prevented any kind of hack on us since the day I hired SiteLock. But I'll see if I can find a way to get it to stop.

Oh, me too, of course. SiteLock is the bomb. I am planning to convert all my websites to SSL (and https instead of http), and it may mean changing hosting companies again. Not the software, we're sticking with phpBB. No conversion process. I'm going to be doing some serious research and planning. More will be revealed.

Question for Foggy re the new media processing:

(1) I am missing a possibility to resize the stuff, I often like to reduce the size when quoting (like the new yuge long twitter embeds). I made a quick research at phpbb.com but did not find any discussion, except that it can be done for the installation with some tweaking. Can you send the develpoer a PM/mail and ask for a feature that a forum user can call upon. Maybe suggest that the code reacts to the most recent [ size ] tag.

(2) Please suggest to the author that this new embed processing comes with a new feature that "eats" old style media tags, eg be able to leave them in old posts and have them just output nothing after processing. I envision also for the forum admin that there would be a list of tags to maintain as there have been a plethora of different extensions in the past with various tag names.

( in some threads I have been working myself backwards in time and deleting old tags in posts where I am the author and that prevented the embeding of videos.)

I've had the log-out problem before, but not lately... and never since the board was updated.

I have had to login a little more often lately, but I don't recall it happening during a session. It is usually when I open it back up. In my case, I would not be surprised if the changing of IP addresses might be involved. I am often on TFB while riding a moving train, thus switching towers often.

I have to say that, at least for me, this transition has been incredibly smooth. I haven't had logon issues other than one recently and I am pretty sure that was my browser being strange. The things I have noticed, is that my avatar seems bigger than on the old version, and there is some issue with whatever the small icons are next to the text options in the command lines. Comes up as boxes with two letters and two numbers. So for me it has been very pleasant and painless.

I dunno, the new forum seems tenser and maybe nastier. I know some of my posts have been affected. Can the stress module be removed without harming the snark module?

You know the rule - if it's just happening to a few people, it's not the forum and I can't fix it. If it was happening to everybody ... but it's not. 8-)
