Today while circling the Beltway, The People's Convoy became increasingly paranoid over standard commuter cars they believe to be with "antifa." "Six antifa vehicles! Six antifa vehicles," a trucker said over the CB radio. "Keep your heads on a swivel!" another trucker yelled.

Seeing driver altercations on a convoy livestream. I can't determine exactly who or what I'm seeing, but this is already more active than yesterday. This is aided by the fact that there appears to be more traffic today as well. I don't know exactly what road they're on. >>

Weather report: snowflakes appearing around the National Mall!

A handful of cars with The People's Convoy have made it into DC, are driving around near the National Mall, and getting triggered over residents yelling at them "go home" as they live stream.

Serious accident involving a semi and at least 2 moving type trucks near an exit to 495 ... at the time the convoy was trying desperately to enter DC.

Several people have been sent to a hospital. Hazmat on scene because of fuel leak.

I can't say for certain that this accident is convoy related. But multiple trucks are involved. Last night's convoy meeting shows convoy drivers getting really upset that they can't get to DC.

Authorities are on the scene of a crash involving several vehicles along the outer loop of the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash including several trucks. One of the truck drivers was trapped after the crash, but fire officials were able to safely get them out of the truck.

Officials say several people are being evaluated at the scene for injuries.

Update is that at least 3 have been sent to a hospital. One driver is a level 1 trauma.

Lets put yourself into their heads for a second.

All they have been told on FOX and right wing radio is that DC is a bubble filled with ANTIFA and is basically enemy territory. So when they afe going in there, one side of their heads is savouring the thought of "destroying" the lib's, but the other side of them is terrified because they literally think there will be nothing but communist troops all around them.

So when anyone says "Boo!" they are convinced its actually a member of this monstrous antifa they have been told they have to be afraid of, and they feel they are about to be attacked by the crowd of rioters they feel exists. They feel they need to be ready to attack and defend themselves from the agents of the Vampire Pedos.

As for the organizers, they know that once they go into DC there wont be a convoy for very long. They need to keep the graft going as long as possible to maximize their profits. Personally today is the day I would abscond with the money. Actually I would have done it days ago, but these idiots are too fucking greedy, and just want one more day of payout.

GOP senator gives trucker protesters a Capitol tour
A senior Hill aide alerted the DOJ afterward.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) gave truckers in the so-called “People’s Convoy” a tour of the Capitol last week — even as the building remains mostly closed to the public.

A senior congressional aide alerted the Department of Justice about the truckers’ presence out of concern that the guided tour could help the protesters plan an entry into the building.

Capitol Hill police have been preparing for weeks for the truckers to descend on the Capitol as the final destination of their cross-country journey that started in Southern California. In the lead-up to President Joe Biden’s March State of the Union address, Capitol Hill police issued a statement announcing they were erecting an inner-perimeter fence to protect the building.

At the time, the National Guard said it was prepared to deploy 700 members to assist the police. But the truckers did not end up protesting that night. The fence has since been taken down, though some barricades remain in place.

The Capitol has been closed to public tours since the outbreak of Covid in the spring of 2020. Since this past December, the Senate has been allowed to give small public tours in a limited area on the Senate side, with a limit of two tours per week.

Marshall’s office said the trucker tour complied with that exception.

Yeah well, if I had 5 other people and we all used Zello as walkie-talkies, I could bring the Beltway to a standstill, at least for a brief time. When there are 5 lanes, the folks in back fill those lanes at 5 mph alongside the three main drivers (the 495 is never fewer than 3 lanes in each direction, sometimes more). And when it narrowed back to 3 lanes, two would drop back behind the three main drivers.

I'd go out and practice with my team at 3 a.m., and we'd close that highway down. The bottom line is, these freakin' morons are BAD DRIVERS, which is totally UNAMERICAN.

Convoy trucker involved in a minor accident.

Convoy response? The all pulled over making it impossible for police to get there.

The so-called “People’s Convoy” trucker protest against mostly-lifted health restrictions was making the afternoon commute especially difficult Wednesday afternoon.

“You do not want to use [Interstate 395] in D.C. or anywhere for that matter between Boundary Channel Drive and the Navy Yard exits,” said Dave Dildine in the WTOP Traffic Center.

As of around 3:30 p.m., about a dozen trucks were sitting still in the middle of the 14th Street Bridge’s main span, and subsequent traffic control operations were forcing detours. There has been no access from the bridge to 14th Street, the 12th Street Expressway, Maine Avenue or the Third Street Tunnel.

“They’re lined up but they’ve been stopped for a few minutes and have not moved,” said Dildine said. “… Lots of flags flying, and they are not moving.”

Right lane fender bender with truck & pickup (truckers say pickups fault). Rest of convoy pulled to left lane & stopped until police arrived (which blocked police from arriving ). Police came wrong way down highway, got truckers moving, and are now trying to keep them moving.
