AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, SIDNEY HAS BEEN FORCED TO SING DUE TO BEING REPORTED TO THE IRS BY PATRICK BYRNE AND MIKE Flynn.....A lawyer for Sidney Powell, a well-known, Trump-connected attorney, acknowledged that her organization's fundraising connected to the 2020 election is subject to an ongoing federal criminal investigation.

Powell's lawyer, Howard Kleinhendler, told CNN that his client "is cooperating" with the investigation into her organization, Defending the Republic, by the US Attorney's Office in the District of Columbia. That cooperation includes "rolling productions" of documents.
The Washington Post first reported details of the probe, including a grand jury subpoena for records related to it, in November.
Powell has not been charged with a crime. The investigation has continued this year, though two sources with knowledge of the probe tell CNN it's unclear when -- if ever -- any charges would be filed.

How the price tag of the Arizona Senate's review of the 2020 election grew from $150K to more than $4M

The partisan review of Maricopa County's 2020 election was supposed to cost taxpayers $150,000.

It's not even close to that. As of late September, costs have ballooned to more than $4 million, public records of the most recent figures show.

The biggest single expense thus far has been to Maricopa County and its taxpayers. The county had to pick up $3.2 million in costs related to the purchase of new vote-tabulation machines to settle a legal dispute with the Arizona Senate.

The Senate, which came up with the $150,000 figure, has spent nearly $1 million of public dollars as the ongoing examination rolls into another election year.

The meter is still running for both the county and Senate, driven now mostly by legal fees.

Update, 3/11, 10:30am: The Maricopa County Attorney's Office confirmed to Arizona's Law this morning that they did not receive any response to the November 2021 public records request. (The next step for MCAO would be to file a legal action in Superior Court, and join the effort begun by American Oversight and then the Arizona Republic. The MCAO did not indicate whether they when and if they would take that step.

The full Arizona Supreme Court today REJECTED Cyber Ninjas' latest effort to overturn the $50,000/day fine for not turning over public records from its Arizona election "audit".

Duty Justice Ann Timmer signed the Order but noted that it came after "consideration by the full court". She thoroughly runs through the convoluted timeline of the public records lawsuits filed by the Arizona Republic and American Oversight, before noting that the Ninjas' attorney (Jack Wilenchik) "failed to adequately explain" why he should skip the intermediate Court of Appeals level in considering his latest effort.
