Maybe he had already spent the monthly allowance he gets from his trust fund.TheNewSaint wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 11:55 am As for sleeping on the street, Karl's a trust fund brat. Other than the money he has to buy toys and live a life of leisure, he's not much different than the vagrants who live behind my convenience store. I don't know why he didn't just get a hotel and/or rental car when he was in Florida, but I figure a) he was cash-poor, or b) he was trying to make a show of his suffering.

Re: Drunk Capt. Karl and the imaginary AMFF
All the above might be at least partially correct, but I suspect a large part of Karl's problem is the emptiness of his life. As the saying has it, the devil makes work for idle hands. Karl has no job to to, no family to look after, no friends to visit, no college to attend, no project to complete. He has bottles of booze, the OpVec and the frustration and humiliation of bending the knee to courts around the country.
So he fills the long days with cartoonish fantasies about he – and a brave band of admiring comrades – will dominate us poor stupid souls, we who have not yielded to the brilliance of Karl's konstitutional, ekonomic and medikal wisdom.

Also his alcoholism could be progressing.

I always love the British military acronyms like this, so much more orally satisfying that some of the equivalent US military ones...northland10 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 8:44 am Since Brolin mentioned the phrase of many P's that I recite in my sleep, Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss/Pitifully Poor Performance (I added another P-word and gave the friendly version of Piss Poor for those who are squeamish), I think there is an acronym starting with P that will elude Karl and the Poots.

My manager for the day job is a former Marine. It seems all those acronyms include the F-word in some fashion. Obviously, he is very good at keeping his Marine language out of normal business work.

Oh my, where’s the eco-friendly opvec?

I suspect he may be able to afford living expenses but does not want his name on any legal documents that can trace his locations.

I would like to wish Drunk Karl Happy Birthday but can't because he sucks. He turned 65 today - a life wasted so far. I hope the day sucked for him and that he had to poop in a trench.

That sounds like those "May you live in interesting times" quotations. "May you have to poop in an already full trench".
On the subject of OpVec accommodation, it has a crew cab IIRC, so it would depend how that is fitted out. I suspect it is seating and full of junk already. Even if it could be re-arranged, it might not be big enough to sleep in easily. Kapt Karl is something like 6' 5" isn't he?

For his Florida fiasco he had the 20’ trailer of compensating that he could sleep in if he could remember where he left it while drunk..

I would think a battle-hardened warrior like Karl wouldn't need any frou-frou sleeping accommodations. The OpVec has a floor, right?
Re: Drunk Capt. Karl and the imaginary AMFF
6' 3" according to arrest reports (and 245 pounds) . One of his sons is 6' 8" but doesn't seem to be a poot like his Daddy.Arthurwankspittle wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 4:55 amThat sounds like those "May you live in interesting times" quotations. "May you have to poop in an already full trench".
