Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg resigned from his positions at dozens of the company’s subsidiaries in late June — several days before he was indicted on charges of tax fraud and grand larceny — according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.
“Effective immediately, I, Allen Weisselberg, resign from each and every office and position that I hold” in the subsidiaries, Weisselberg wrote in the letter, dated June 25. What followed was a two-page list.
The Trump Organization submitted the letter to New Jersey liquor regulators last week, asking to remove Weisselberg’s name from the liquor licenses for two golf courses. New Jersey officials released it to The Post on Tuesday.
The list obtained by The Post was largely redacted, so that only a few company names were visible. But, from looking at other corporate records in the United States and Scotland, The Post has identified at least 54 Trump entities where Weisselberg has recently resigned from his positions.

Hopefully, not a news dump.

CHECK THE BASEMENT
A lawyer for Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg revealed in open court that prosecutors have found more evidence and that more indictments are expected.
Prosecutors have discovered a tranche of evidence in the basement of a co-conspirator in the Trump Organization tax fraud case, a defense lawyer for indicted chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg revealed in court on Monday, with the attorney also signaling that more shoes are yet to drop in New York’s ongoing investigation.
“We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming,” Weisselberg’s lawyer, Bryan C. Skarlatos, said in Manhattan criminal court on Monday.
Skarlatos also referenced a private conversation that Weisselberg—along with his defense lawyers and prosecutors—had with the judge before proceedings were open to the public, revealing that prosecutors had discovered tax documents related to Donald Trump’s company in the basement of an unnamed co-conspirator.
It’s unclear who that co-conspirator might be, but according to two sources close to the investigation, prosecutors have been more closely scrutinizing Matthew Calamari, a Trump bodyguard who rose through the ranks to become the company’s chief operating officer. Others have theorized that it might be Jeff McConney, the company controller who has long served as Weisselberg’s deputy—and who has already testified before the grand jury.

If this is Calamari or Conney why weren’t the docs turned over by the Trump Organization? Unless they are the second set of books…

NEW YORK — The Manhattan District Attorney has convened a second long-term grand jury to hear evidence about the Trump Organization’s financial practices, and potentially to vote on criminal charges, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
An earlier grand jury — convened this spring in Manhattan — previously handed down felony indictments against two Trump companies and Trump’s longtime chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, charging them with tax evasion. It is unclear if that grand jury is still hearing evidence about the Trump Organization.
The new grand jury is assigned to meet three days a week over six months, people familiar with the matter said. It was expected to hear evidence on Thursday, meeting in Manhattan’s Surrogate’s Court — usually a forum for disputes over the estates of the deceased — because the criminal court buildings are jammed with a rush of post-pandemic trials.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking a deposition from former president Donald Trump early next year as part of her investigation into potential fraud inside the Trump Organization, according to people familiar with the matter.
James has requested to take his testimony on Jan. 7 at her New York office as part of a civil investigation into whether Trump’s company committed financial fraud in the valuations of properties to different entities, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the inquiry is ongoing.
One of the people familiar with the investigation said James is examining whether widespread fraud “permeated the Trump Organization.”
Fabien Levy, a spokesman for James, declined to comment. Representatives for Trump did not immediately respond to messages from The Washington Post. Ronald Fischetti, an attorney who has been representing Trump in investigations into his New York financial practices, also did not respond.

More money for the RNC to pay to T***p's lawyers.
There is, of course, no legitimate reason he cannot be deposed. And for the record, and I rarely see this mentioned in connection with his co-conspirators in the Jan 6 Committee cases, the proper procedure is to show up and assert any privileges to each question. This makes a record to allow a judge to rule on particular questions. In civil litigation, in courts all over America, this is how it works.
But we all know it's about delay, delay, delay. Also, from a practical viewpoint, the Dotard is the absolute worst in depositions. He's dumb and he eventually gives up the ghost, but you have to get him there. David Corn has some great depo videos of the Dotard somewhere if you are interested. From a fantasy perspective, it would be great to watch him asserting the Fifth in civil cases about his business practices prior to 2016.
