Jan. 6 defendants John Schubert and Amy Schubert were arrested in Illinois this week:
Assault on the Capitol (DC)

"Personal hygiene such as showers is nearly nonexistent" in wing of DC jail where Jan 6 defendants are being held... per court filing this month from defendant Domenic Pezzola of New York
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
No one "grants" the privilege; it is a privilege that is asserted.
Whether it will be respected (i.e., by committee or the courts) is another matter.

What a complete jackass.
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
So.. I interviewed Bigo Barnett by Zoom
I pressed him to talk about his case & the charges of putting his feet on Pelosi office suite desk & mail theft on Jan 6
He wouldn't answer those questions, but made some revelations. (Yup, he got in trouble in jail too)

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/202 ... rally.htmlTurns Out Mo Brooks Was Wearing Body Armor to Trump’s Very Peaceful Jan. 6 Rally
Brooks, like Republican leaders who tried to counterprogram the hearing with a press conference yesterday, thinks a proper investigation would look at why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office wasn’t “doing a better job with respect to the Capitol Police and their level of preparation.”
Then, to prove his point about preparation, he revealed a new detail to me: That because of a tip he’d received about potential violence, he’d been wearing body armor at the very same Ellipse speech in which he encouraged rally attendees to “start taking down names and kicking ass.”
“I was warned on Monday that there might be risks associated with the next few days,” he said. “And as a consequence of those warnings, I did not go to my condo. Instead, I slept on the floor of my office. And when I gave my speech at the Ellipse, I was wearing body armor.”
“That’s why I was wearing that nice little windbreaker,” he told me with a grin. “To cover up the body armor.”
He didn’t say who warned him, or what the “risk” was he’d been warned about. There were probably a “half-dozen different motivations that affected people in varying degrees” to engage in insurrection. He named, for example, “financial losses suffered because of the government’s reaction to COVID-19,” “the belief that there was significant voter fraud and election theft activity,” or “a great love and respect for President Trump.”

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
I'm still not clear on how this is Pelosi's fault. Do they think she has control over the Capitol Police and the National Guard? Maybe she does, I don't know, but it seems unlikely she can pick up the phone and tell them what to do without going through other channels.

They don't think; they just react.

Between Gym telling Brett Baier he talked to T**** on Jan. 6 and this, it's obvious that they know that the Committee knows this stuff and they are trying to get out ahead of it. Good luck to those creeps.raison de arizona wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:18 pmhttps://slate.com/news-and-politics/202 ... rally.htmlTurns Out Mo Brooks Was Wearing Body Armor to Trump’s Very Peaceful Jan. 6 Rally

Yeah, it's pretty baseless and they generally don't even try to back it up with facts. Because they can't. Regarding your question, she controls neither the Capitol Police nor the National Guard.sugar magnolia wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:58 pm I'm still not clear on how this is Pelosi's fault. https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/21/politics ... index.htmlThe Speaker of the House is not in charge of Capitol security. That's the responsibility of the Capitol Police Board, which oversees the US Capitol Police and approves requests for National Guard assistance.

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
I'm pretty sure that the acting SECDEF withheld approval for the National Guard to react for 4 hours.
https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5413 ... hree-hours“At 1:49pm I received a frantic call from then Chief of U.S. Capitol Police, Steven Sund, where he informed me that the security perimeter at the Capitol had been breached by hostile rioters. Chief Sund, his voice cracking with emotion, indicated that there was a dire emergency on Capitol Hill and requested the immediate assistance of as many Guardsmen as I could muster," Maj. Gen. William Walker, commanding general of the D.C. Guard, said in written testimony released ahead of a Senate hearing Wednesday morning.
“Immediately after the 1:49pm call with Chief Sund, I alerted the Army Senior Leadership of the request. The approval for Chief Sund’s request would eventually come from the Acting Secretary of Defense and be relayed to me by Army Senior Leaders at 5:08pm — 3 hours and 19 minutes later,” Walker added.

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
There was some info early on that Pelosi had been consulted at some point about whether or not they needed extra officers, and she agreed to/directed not. That's pretty vague, but I believe it's the kernel of truth that this monstrosity of a deflective lie is based on. The point seems to putting attention away from what motivated and led up to the actual attack by focusing on the weak response. And even that leads right to the former guy. Soooo weak.sugar magnolia wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:58 pm I'm still not clear on how this is Pelosi's fault. Do they think she has control over the Capitol Police and the National Guard? What I find particularly hilarious is the way they ignore the fact that such topics (why were the CP overwhelmed) are indeed a part of the commission's mandate, and that had they agreed to the bipartisan select committee, they would have been part of that mandate too.

If she is convicted, living with it for her whole life, well duh. She may rebuild her life be we live with our mistakes no matter what. Either we learn from it or we wallow as the victim. Until she hits bottom she may not learn because she feels she did nothing wrong. The privilege is great with this one.
Oh, and Biden's America is actually one that helps people who have fallen. Medicare, welfare, other assistance. The GOP would yank all of that.
I'm sure she was equally concerned for those protesters who did not riot and did not loot in the Floyd protests but were still arrested, never charged, and are still living through the consequences. Oh right, they are black so their protest for a better America does not count.
Oh, and if you insurrect, there may be consequences. Do these idiots think the founders did not realize what would happen if they lost? You don't need to answer that.

Biden's America isn't trying every other month to cancel the ACA and take affordable health insurance from her, or the SOCIALIST PROGRAMS that she can take advantage of.

Senator Kevin Cramer R-ND not only votes for the infrastructure bill, but also stands up for the officer that shot Ashli Babbitt. Is the tide turning?
