In times of terrible crisis throughout our history, America's fortune has been that great leaders have surfaced, as if from nowhere. It has happened too many times to be coincidence, and I'm starting to suspect that it's happening again.

Seattle Dog: Cream cheese, caramelized onions and one or more of spicy mustard, jalapenos, hot sauce, bbq sauce, and sauerkraut. There are probably a bunch of other variations I haven't tried, but they all have the cream cheese and onions in common. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

Dragged t'rough dah garden: Diced onion, sport peppers, neon green relish, tomato wedges, yeller mustard, pickle spear, celery salt. Sometimes you can take it up Nort' with a spread of melted Merkts Chedder and Port wine.
