That's like the benefits of being a musician.

On the girls, I've seen them flock.

We organists get all the fame, money, and girls.

That is why they stick us up in the loft or in some corner at the front so this won't happen at church.

I remember one Sunday evening in 1964, my dad and I were coming home from a Boy Scout meeting or something. We walked in the door, and there was my older sister, kneeling in front of the 18 inch TV, with her face about 4 inches from the screen. She was screaming.

The Beatles were making their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

A few years ago, I was with my sister and her daughter when somehow the subject came up. I told the above story and my niece looked very incredulous and asked me "Mom?????!!!!". My sister was not thrilled with me for bringing it up.

That reminds me of a story from my husband's high school days. One of his friends was fixing up a car and had taken the front seat out of it - to replace or repair? Whatever. Anyway, they wanted to take it for a spin so they put a couple of large pails upside down in the front to sit on while driving. It worked fine until they turned a corner.

This is why we smarter teenagers used a crate of some sort. Much more stable.

When my son was about 5 he fell out of a tree so we took him to the Dr. They took an x-ray and sent us back to the waiting room while they read them. While we were still in the waiting room, he fell off the chair, and yep, broke his damn arm. The initial x-rays showed no break.

At the 5th visit to the shoulder-to-fingertip ortho specialist the nurse had a hand-made "frequent flier" sticker for him. He was about 8 at the time.
Still better than the time my oldest sprained her ankle and the x-rays showed she'd actually broken a bone in her leg months ago and it was already healed. She never knew it was broken.
