Bradly didn't do himself any favors on the stand. He looked evasive. I think he probably did speculate about Willis/Ward and then it became something Merchant et al could grab onto. But...like everyone has said, a. what does it matter if they had a fling, and b/ what difference does it make when it started (except maybe to Ward's wife). The facts of the RICO case are the facts. The Grand Jury was convinced - and this case has a lot of documents (not to mention the small matter of the recording of a phone call).

Maybe McAfee just wants a record that no one on the defense side was denied anything they asked so there's no appeal basis. Idk IANAL.

And Portia I agree. Trump's attorney Sadow was a real asshole.

Today's whole thing was because, in chambers, the judge thought that the atty/client privilege bar was lower than Bradley had claimed. I never heard about that in questions, though...who exactly was his client? Ward? For the divorce case?
What no one said was that maybe he heard the affair started at some point - but Mrs. Ward told him that. Who knows. All this gossip has created worlds of trouble. It would have been better if Ward and Willis had never gotten involved, but that ship has sailed.

We have seen some good judges in the Trump cases (Chutkin, Engoron, Kaplan) and some terrible judges (Aileen Cannon) but I think McAfee is towards the lower end and even in the cesspool end of that universe.

Watched it and NO SALE. Why they thought Nathan Wade's law partner and divorce lawyer would be their star witness is an example of how bankrupt and craven they are. (I'd still prefer if Wade was taken off the case.)

Bradley, seen as the defense’s star witness, was ordered to testify in greater detail about the romantic relationship between Willis and Wade, which both prosecutors acknowledge existed but say only started after Wade was hired to investigate Trump in Nov. 2021. Therefore, they say, the relationship created no conflict.

Bradley acknowledged on Tuesday that he sent text messages to one of the defense attorneys, Ashleigh Merchant, contradicting prosecutors’ timeline of their own relationship.

Ultimately, however, Bradley’s testimony on Tuesday was not the blow to prosecutors that the defense had hoped for. Instead, Bradley repeatedly responded to questions saying he could not recall details and that the text messages were just speculation.

The law to DQ requires an *actual* conflict of interest. That's the focus. This hearing veered off course to explore if Wade and Willis lied about when their relationship started. They've both testified when it started & when it ended.

Only Yeartie says opposite. No one else.

JUST IN: 11th Cir. Court of Appeals DENIES Mark Meadows’s request for the entire court to rehear his appeal as he continues to seek removal of his Fulton County criminal charges to federal court.

A 3-judge panel on the 11th Cir. previously affirmed the lower court’s decision denying Meadows’s request to move his Fulton County criminal case to federal court.

Meadows wanted all of the judges on the 11th Cir. to decide his appeal, but today’s decision rejects that request.

Meadows can still appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

Last month, he added prominent Supreme Court lawyer Paul Clement to his legal team.

Friday. I think it's closing statements, but there might be more. Not sure what time. The defendants are still trying to get the cell phone date info into the record or have their expert testify or whatever, but I don't think that will happen, as I'm pretty sure I read/heard that McAfree said the time for evidence is gone. They need to wrap this sucker up.

McAfee shutting that down, but this is going to be his life for the next six months. 20 lawyers doing whatever they can to use his court to trash the DA. Lovely.

Looks like Mr. Merchant is going to start; he's going to handle the "conflict". Ms. Merchant sidelined, or saved for later?

When is Judge McAfee up for re-election? Anyone know? Fulton County is 45% black so that's a lot of voters he will piss off if he rules in favor of the openly racist defense lawyers.
