True. This was about a self-driving, self-possessed truck that got tired of its owner.

As the AI improves, and the cars and trucks become more sensitive and emotional, we might see flocks of Teslas in the north migrating south to overwinter in a more amenable climate.

It could be an thrilling sight: "Look daddy, there are twenty, no, about fifty, Teslas speeding south on the interstate! Ooo, look there's a pair of Cybertrucks too! Wow!"

You call it the APC from the movie Aliens. Which in reality was a tender at an Airport with guns glued to it. And which Musky used as the onspiration for the Cybershit. He let it slip a couple of months back when he said it was like an APC

Not an electric vehicle owner: is the problem with the cars or the charging station? The piece ends with the reporter reminding owners to "press the precondition button" before charging in cold weather – an I correct in guessing that would heat the batteries to a more appropriate operating temperature?

Give him more, more, MORE!
Elon Musk’s losing streak is heading for Tesla

If the $690 billion Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab faces an unravelling, Twitter might have gotten the ball rolling. Boss Elon Musk wants 25% voting control of the carmaker, after selling down shares to help finance a 2022 deal for the social-media company now known as X. His online foray risked making him an absentee CEO; increasing his stake in Tesla would throw bad governance after bad.

The billionaire posted on X on Monday that he is “uncomfortable” developing Tesla into a leader in artificial intelligence unless he has more control. Given that Tesla does not have super-voting shares, the simplest way to do that is to issue common stock to Musk. Taking dilution into account, that would mean about $100 billion worth of shares. Musk has a bundle of unexercised options good for a near-9% stake that would reduce the payout needed if exercised, but would entail a huge tax hit. To stay within the safest bounds of corporate law, issuing so many shares as compensation would require an independent board committee's sign-off and a vote of disinterested shareholders.

This appears to be true. Basically, you gotta clean Elon's Body every day, bitches.

Hey something I can comment on! I worked for years doing advanced weathering testing on automotive materials using OEM paints from the factory before they shipped to the plants. Tesla paint did fairly well tbh. Top paints and clear coats on a molecular level and long term weathering scale are EASILY Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, and Mercedes. The worst of the worst crap was Ford, GM, Hyundai, and Chevy’s individual line of products. Tesla was mediocre but wasn’t the best nor worst. I stopped doing testing tho for them in 2020.

With that being said, Stainless steels have been testing a lot for industrial vehicles and they will maintain their integrity better than other similar materials, but they lose their original appearance extremely fast and “age” almost 3x faster than a comparable vehicle metal.

If you buy one of these things, 100% invest in getting a complete wrap. The stainless will not look the same a decade down the line. It will be much more brown and be pitted all over the place if you are anywhere near salt or certain sands

Edit: forgot to add in, this was PPG paints. And Tesla uses a completely unique and special robotic spray gun for their applications. We spent a ton of money and time attempting to perfect using it but for some reason Tesla had to have their own special thing. This is why the paint upgrades cost so much as well. Special chemical formulations for a special application process
Some people say "oh it's similar to what other manufacturers who DO use clear coats say" and someone says that Bird Shit acid can burn through a clear coat and wreck the finish... But, that's the point, they at least have clear coats. The Cybertruck is just exposed to the elements so if a bird shits on it thse acids get to work right away

So, of you bought it for the Status and looks, I hope you like it looking like a banged up Taliban Jeep in a couple of years.

No hard clear coat paint. One more reason this thing looks like junk.
