The piece I am prepping for Sunday's postlude (the video is not me playing or the organ I play).

This was apparently sung on Riverboats etc. Nice Sea Shanty type song. From the comments - "To clarify the line "screwing cotton": when cotton was being packed into a ships hold, it was compressed through the use of a machine called a Marengo, which workers would turn like a screw to press more cotton in."

Uhm, N10, I am reluctant to say this, BUT, his organ is much bigger than yours. :oopsy:

I meant standing up! N10 was standing up in the beginning and end of the video, and the other dude was sitting the whole time! I can't believe y'all could misinterpret! :liar: :liar: :liar:

There's a YouTuber that uses this song as their background music (telling the story of plane crashes):

Interesting fact... I have been working on not hunching my shoulders so much while playing (and with it, not slouching). I doubt I was doing that well on Sunday while playing the Fanfare by Lemmens. I was too busy paying attention to everything else.

I've probably mentioned this before (sorry if I'm repeating myself), but that was the music Mr. Gray and I used for the "Wedding March" at our wedding. The church lights were dim, most of the light was from candles, and my bridesmaids and I each carried a candle down the aisle.

It was one of the few deviations from a "traditional" wedding our Moms didn't freak out too much over :)
