That's very possible, and is the reason I actually don't feel cheated by this one.

However light the sentence is, her life is permanently ruined. She's going to lose almost all of the money she managed to amass over the years. She won't be able to practice law, but she might be able to get a job as a Wal-Mart greeter. She will suffer every day of the rest of her life, because she tried to overthrow our democracy. I fart in her general direction.

Yes, but he can always change his mind, so long as the offer is still open. I've had clients accept a plea offer in the middle of jury selection, and we sent the jury home. Generally, the prosecutor is always ready with a new and unimproved offer after you turn the first one down.
