Didn't DeSantos just say a week ago, that he would not fight extradition, only to be pilloried by the MAGA crowd?

If Trump refuses to surrender voluntarily. The governor of NY will make a formal request to DeSantos to hand Trump over, right?

What happens if DeSantos were to refuse? I understand that there is a way that NY can request extradition that bypasses DeSantos altogether. But, if DeSantos were to make an active attempt to block TFG's arrest, could Bragg ask a Federal Court to order the extradition? If that happens, could Bragg further ask that US Marshals be sent to Mar a Lago to physically arrest him?

Could US Marshals arrest him in another state if he shows up for a rally?

All of this is probably moot. I believe that the OSG will surrender voluntarily, and very publicly. He will hold an "impromptu" press conference on the steps of the courthouse, to repeat his whining about the unfairness of it all.

Can Bragg insist that Trump enter the building through an underground parking garage or the back door, to prevent just such a spectacle? A not-implausible argument can be made that TFG would be more secure that way.

I also believe that he will never, ever be able to abide by a judge's gag-order. Never.

Thank goodness the indictment came from a grand jury that Trump only yesterday said had restored his faith in the entire grand jury system.
