IIRC this Costello fellow and another lawyer paid a visit to Cohen saying they could help him out.
Robert Costello is representing Steve Bannon in the Wall case, too, also. He’s a longtime associate, maybe friend of Giuliani and appeared in cameo roles during the Mueller investigation and its aftermath.

Top of Statement "THE FBI HAS HAD HUNTER BIDEN EVIDENCE FOR OVER A YEAR!!!"

Bottom of statement "THE FBI REFUSED TO TAKE THE HARD DRIVES WITH THE HUNTER BIDEN EVIDENCE ON IT!"

I think Mr Lawyer got his different lies confused in the time he dashed off this bollox.

fierceredpanda wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 7:10 pm From that Politico article comes this gem of self-delusion:
“I find it extremely concerning that the mayor has been attempting to cooperate through his attorney, Mr. Costello, for almost two years and they ignored those attempts, only to show up today to execute a search warrant for materials and all they had to do was ask for it, which raises the question as to why the search warrant was executed,” Kerik said. “Why did they send seven people to his house?"
If he was so anxious to cooperate for "almost two years", he won't file a motion to quash the warrant and return his electronics, will he? After all, he has nothing to hide.

"all they had to do was ask for it". This is the way the Justice department asks for things.

"What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn't care about anyone or anything, that he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus," says Michael Cohen of Rudy Giuliani.

"We have no idea how expansive that this investigation is going to [be]... because Rudy's an idiot."

"If he understood Yiddish, I would say Rudy's in 'gehokteh tsuris' - he's got some real trouble coming down the pike," says Michael Cohen of Trump's reaction to the Giuliani raid.
Trump "cares about only himself...'What is it going to do to affect me,' is all that he's thinking."

You say, "lie blatantly"; I say, "zealous advocacy"; let's call the whole thing off. ;)

Lawyers ethically can't lie to judges or their clients. Beyond that....

My guess is that there is fairly wide latitude in what a lawyer can say outside of court. Until the court tells said lawyer to STFU.

But IANAL.

Zealous advocacy seems like zealous delusion.
The Biden department of justice has completely ignored clear evidence (which the FBI has had for over a year) in texts and emails on Hunter Biden’s hard drive of failing to register numerous times as a foreign agent, child pornography, money laundering, and 30 years of the Biden Crime family taking millions and millions in bribes to sell his public offices.

Too bad for Rudy, I don’t think Trump is the target. Biden isn’t ever going to go after Trump.

Biden's going to leave things to the Justice Department.

Trump went after Biden's Family. Biden has enough Irish Blood in him to have a typical Irish reaction to that. There's nothing that will keep Biden's foot off Trumps fat neck.

You're asserting, then, that Biden was lying when he said he would let the Justice Department be independent in its prosecutorial decision-making, as it is supposed to be?

I think that’s likely true. But I seem to recall him saying he wasn’t looking to prosecute Trump.

I'm sure Biden is fine with leaving Trump to the Justice Department.

That said, I am also positive that Biden wants to destroy Trump, but I'm talking politically. I'm sure Biden wants to destroy all of Trump's abhorrent policies. As much as possible, Biden wants to un-do the damage done to this country by Trump and his sycophants. It serves the dual purpose of making America stronger and pissing off Trump.

If my ears are working correctly, CNN's Erin Burnett is going to have son Andrew on during her hour today. Show just started

She's pretty sharp, she hooked me on watching her when she was the only one who questioned Nunberg when he was doing that Nunberg thing about him smelling like alcohol.
