The Kid and his Lady Wife have been in a group of friends who meet each weekend to watch two horror films, then decide which one should move to the next bracket. They have really enjoyed that. I couldn't watch scary flicks until I was in my 40's and only on TV, not in a theater.
My husband LOVES horror. He'd probably have a blast with that group!

Many newly minted antivaxxers (due to the Covid vaccine nonsense) not getting their usual flu shots?

I used to get awful bouts of flu when younger. Then in 1978 I took a job at an employer that provided free flu vaccinations to employees at their office site. Haven't had the flu since.

It's supposed to be a bad season. Because of my respiratory problems, I have also been getting my flu shots for a very long time. I have also not had the flu since I've been getting them. This year, I got it about two weeks ago, so I'm good to go. I get my most recent Covid vaccine in about two weeks. The CDC recommends that if you have Covid, wait three months after.

C"mom, who can argue with (at about 9:05):
Q: … imagine you're in a car and you're driving 60 miles an hour and then you've been driving an hour, then …
A: … yeah, it is pretty fast …
Q: … how far do you think you would get in that time?
A: It wouldn't take me that long so maybe like 20 minutes?

Perhaps a little longer if she has Foggy's backup drive in the car too. That would show her down as it's at least 6 brake horsepower per square inch. So it would slow her down by two stars or one continent.

Kanye West - Hey Skechers, Got Room for Me??? Shows Up Uninvited at HQ

Kanye West is making a quick move to find a new home for his Yeezy shoes ... hitting Skechers headquarters to talk with the company's honchos, but immediately got turned away.

Sources familiar with Ye's visit tell us he was at the company's main office Wednesday morning in Manhattan Beach, CA ... but this was not a scheduled meeting with management.

Skechers says, Ye "arrived unannounced and without invitation at one of Skechers’ corporate offices in Los Angeles. Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation."

Now, we don't know if Kanye did his research or not, but Skechers is owned and operated by a Jewish family -- Robert Greenberg founded it, and his son Michael is currently the President. Considering his rampant anti-Semitism, you could say he barked up the wrong tree.

A spokesperson tells us, "Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West. We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. Again, West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices."
Just a little bit more at the link above.

My British Mr. whose family lived just outside London was sent to a boarding school in Devon. They did a lot of forestry and other outdoor activities. One of his schoolmates at the time was an American kid they called Kipper, so tagged because of his feet I’m told. They became good friends and remain friends today. Kipper lives in DC just about 50 miles away so he came down yesterday to join in with our handyman and Mr.D for a chainsaw party out in the woods trying to clean up some of the trees we lost over this last year to storms. They're back at it again today as the sounds of dueling chainsaws fill the woods.

I hate chainsaws. We had a patient once (at least 100 years ago) that had a nasty chainsaw accident. He hit a knot in the wood and the chainsaw kicked back and cut across his chin and part of his jaw. Thank the FSM it didn’t kill him! Anyway the Doc I was working for at the time was on ER call that night so when it was time to get the stitches out he came in for a visit. I took him back all ready to take out the stitches and when I took off the bandage and looked closely I saw that the doc had sewn the man’s chin up with black sutures, and of course his thick black whiskers had grown just about the same length as those tightly tied sutures. Whiskers and scalps are why they have such things as colored sutures and I did bitch the doc out about that!

I hate chainsaws :oldlady: :cantlook:

I'm not a fan of chainsaws, but I'm careful with my chainsaw.

Here's a new shot of a fogbow that I liked.

But it's kind of too tall to use as a real logo, it's gonna crowd things out and take up too much real estate on the page.

Still ... it's nice.

CA foglawyers, I need help with voting for judiciary. Why is it so hard to Google recommendations? There are 16 offices to be filled! How are we supposed to choose carefully?
