There it is right there - she's the first one to be buried at this cemetary. He needed it so the land could be tax free. I was thinking how easy it would be to run over the grave with a golf cart, but those existing tracks are NOT golf cart tracks. Its the gravedigging machine tracks.

But anyway... Rather than just having dirt and a small floral cluster, there could be a temporary fence to show the area of the plot, cover the dirt with flowers, and hang a wreath. I've seen burials like that with low, temporary fences and flowers, special mementos (letters, cards, etc.), and a big wreath. Eventually the headstone is placed, and the grass grows back.

That's what I was saying earlier. My relatives' graves have a variety of flowers, teddy bears, stuffed hearts, whatever, from their kids and grandkids. Year round, not just Memorial Day.
