I check in on my dad every few weeks and the TV ads out of St. Louis for republicans are all contests for how far they can shove their heads up Trump’s ass. Hawley won’t be the last dickweed to come out of Missouri.Reality Check wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:17 pm Josh Hawley is a worthless little piece of shit reason weasel.

But there was some light relief just before the end of that session:Reality Check wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:17 pm Josh Hawley is a worthless little piece of shit treason weasel.
"The room erupted with laughter at the vision of senator Joshua Hawley running from the mob after previously giving them a fist pump of solidarity."

I don't think so, as I don't recall that being presented. There were a few minutes I was distracted though.Phoenix520 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 11:01 pm Weren’t they teasing that they would play excerpts from the threatening phone calls? Did i miss it?

Requires a service that actually would store texts. The question is of course, does the government in general and the secret Service especially rely on commercial providers like Apple's iCloud or Samsungd Cloud service (provided by Microsoft) to backup potentially sensitive information. Once I understood that government phones had software that backed up for permanent records retention automatically.

Maybe your last few sentences explain why.

Re: January 6 Select Committee
Just re Afghanistan: #45 seems to misremember the finer details. He himself signed the withdrawal agreement with the Taliban. There was no provision that the US would retain Bagram airport. Impotus himself promoted a total withdrawal. And whining about hi-tec left behind, his generals told him that they would need much more time to repatriate more hardware, impotus set the deadline. Apart, there was nothing of importance that was left behind. Electronis were left wrecked and the Afghan army itself had no real hi-tec in their hands. What they had would have needed foreign specialists to maintain, nothing of worth fell into the hands of the Taliban, they would not have known how to operate stuff even in mint condition.
