It’s only right and proper. Have some respect for the man while he’s grieving. Too much stress at one time isn’t good for an old man.

Cipollone emerges for a second side conference with his attorneys. He declined to say whether he is answering questions substantively or asserting privilege of any kind.

REMINDER: The Jan. 6 select committee is slated to receive another batch of records from the National Archives *today.* Chairman Thompson has said the panel has been able to narrowly tailor its recent requests thanks to witness testimony.

BREAKING: Patsy Baloney has been testifying all day and “has been cooperative within the parameters of his desire to protect executive privilege” and has been “willing to answer the panel’s questions.” Sounds like he’s corroborated Hutchinson’s testimony.

I simply don't answer any call from a number I don't know, even if it is local. Most of these calls don't bother to leave a message. Occasionally, one does leave a message. If the call is on my land line (yes, I still have one) I can listen as they speak. Once in a great while, it is someone I want to talk to and i will pick it up. Unfortunately, no one has figured out how to screen calls on a cell phone.
Exactly. I do not answer my landline. If someone DOES want to talk to ME they will leave a message.

On occaision, I do pick up just by accident. If there is several seconds of silence while the computer tries to find an operator, then I hang up. I will not answer a computer generated call. If you want to take my time then you spend your time.
Many auto-dialing systems won't connect their person until the recipient says hello twice. They do this so they are not stuck with talking to the voicemail/answering machine.
Ah, That explains it. Good to know. :bighug:

And since I only say hello once....

UPDATE: Details of Cipollone’s interview remain hard to come by but a source familiar with the interview said the committee views his testimony as “very helpful.”
With a hearing coming up on Tuesday, bets members of the J6C are all over the Sunday shows dropping hints?

New: Jan. 6 committee member Adam Kinzinger says on ABC the Thursday hearing will focus on what Trump was doing during the Capitol attack — suggesting he obstructed the certification through inaction: “You can’t selectively pick what parts of the Constitution you defend.”

Off topic - sorry. I have been trying to find a thread on Fogbow about the Georgia DA's election investigation, for which Rudy and Lindsay were just issued subpoenas. I must be looking in the wrong place. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

The election was 20 months ago, Joe Biden was sworn in not quite 18 months ago.

The Select Committee's next hearing will continue the story of Donald Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Wasn't the core of Bannon's subpoena litigation Executive Privilege?

It is fun to watch his reactions to this Committee. And I love that he can’t tweet all day long on Twitter. That has to gall him no end. And Fox no longer carries his rallies, it’s only on NewsMax.

I'm guessing Bannon will now proclaim he's willing to testify, as long as it's broadcast live by all networks, not just CSPAN, like the OathKeeper dude did, like no one sees that as anything other than an attempt to create a circus defending dear Donnie. I doubt he'd have anything important enough to add - that he'd actually be willing to say - for the J6 committee to let him use them as a platform for whatever garbage he plans to spew...

Yep.. and this is the "executive privilege" that does exist because:

1. Trump is no longer President so cannot exercise executive privilege, even in the bathroom (that is executive time, not executive privilege).

2. Bannon was not on the White House staff so he would not be covered by executive privilege even Trump could exercise it, which he can't.

3. Bannon shit in waste paper baskets, much like he shit on America, though that is really not germane here. I only point it out because Bannon is a shithead.
