Watched a segment on F&F this morning. They were agog over the backlash against this guy Ross I think is his name? Not just the boycotts of his business, but he had to step down from some NFL committee. All for hosting a fund raiser for The President of the United States (emphasis theirs). Diamond and Silk weighed in and shook their heads over the horror of it all that people could be so mean and unfair.

On a happier note Pete Hegseth got married last week. Between the two they now have a Brady Bunch +1 passle of kids.

Who is "this guy Ross" and why are people boycotting him?

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross removed himself from his post on the NFL's social justice committee amid backlash for his financial support of President Donald Trump.

Ross, a founding member, leaves a committee made up of former and current NFL players and team owners intended to address social justice issues.

"Stephen made the decision last week and informed the NFL and members of the working committee that he was going to step aside from the group and continue to focus his efforts on RISE," the Dolphins' Tuesday statement said. "He believes in and is still fully committed to the work that has been done by the group and will always be a passionate supporter and tireless advocate for social justice causes, the fight for equal rights and education.

Fox & Friends wants you to believe Trump would have G7 at Doral even if he didn’t own it
Their defense of one of Trump’s most corrupt proposals suggests they think their viewers will believe anything.

Unfortunately for Fox and DOTUS, the U.S. has previously hosted the G7/G8, and not at a Trump property:

Dorado Beach Hotel and Country Club Dorado, Puerto Rico
Sea Island Sea Island, Georgia, United States

If we can do it on Martha's Vineyard, maybe Obama will show up.

Plains Georgia. That could totally work, believe it or not. And Maybe Jimmy Carter could stop by.

Maybe one of Ted Turner's ranches? Gimme a few days and I bet I can find a few thousand places more appropriate than the President's own failing golf course in the middle of August in Merto Miami-Dade (being somewhat remote is a security priority, being in a major city is kind of a non-starter unless it is NYC or DC where they do this kind of thing and know how)

If I were the other 6, I'd refuse to come. Then Trump can have a G1+1 with Putin.

If they can't refuse, I'd stay somewhere other than Doral. Then, when pressed, I'd cite bedbugs.

The interview that set Trump off is one in which DNC comms director @XochitlHinojosa went on Fox News to talk about the ...... [checks notes] .... Democratic presidential debates. Trump apparently wanted host Sandra Smith to blindside her with Trump talking points.

To which I am grateful. It was supposed to be in Chicago before the NATO Summit. With only one day for a commuting nightmare instead of 3, I just took the day off.

Our local Fox affiliate is one of the least Foxy in the nation. Their local news broadcast is one of the best in the SF Bay area. Yesterday they were the first to cover an appeal to the Oakland City Council that I prepared with the the help of some of my neighbors:

http://www.ktvu.com/news/ktvu-local-new ... le-housing

The back of my head makes a quick appearance around two minutes. For the moment, I'm trying to stay off camera.

Today I'm pounding the pavement again, looking for legal representation. It's not a standard tenant/landlord dispute, but already has had some repercussions within our city. Initially, we were told we had a snowball's chance in hell, but our snowball seems to be growing. PM me and I'd be happy to share some more information.

At one time, I used to fly between Cincinnati and Gettysburg myself. When you take off from Gettysburg on runway 24, you have to turn right as soon as get 500 feet of altitude, because you're right on the edge of the DC exclusion zone (not really, you have a few miles, but you should) and that's if no one is at Camp David which is just a few miles away. If the President is there, and you don't turn right away, the Marine Corps sends a friend over to make sure you're okay. By making it pretty clear that you better land RIGHT NOW and then a bunch of cops will gang tackle you on the runway and generally ruin your day. Your family might even see you on CNN that night.

The rules have changed since then and I'm pretty sure that when the President is at Camp David now, Gettysburg is closed for the duration.
