So we have both The Proud Boys and The Oath Keepers indicted for Sedition, is The Republican Party coming next?

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
I'm not even joking. Explain to me why not because the fact is this, the ones that The Proud Boys and The Oath Keepers were conspiring with, to and for is The Republican Party and the Trump Campaign.
Give me one damn reason why they're not just as Seditious and anyone so far charged.
I
will
wait....

JUST IN: Judge Nichols, the only federal judge in DC to reject obstruction charges against Jan. 6 defendants, has dismissed another charge, this time against Jake Lang, one of the first people charged and detained for assaulting officers that day.

You WILL remember that Jake Lang is on video beating police with a fucking baseball bat. Among other things.Kendra wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 12:23 pm https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/ ... 5205073921

Guess Judge Nichols determined that was typical touristy behavior.
Edit: Ah, missed that he was still facing a lot of charges, good!

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
Perhaps there's a problem with the charging documents? Something along those lines, but otherwise, I don't get the dismissal of obstruction charges when that's the reason they were there.

Appeal by the DOJ?

Jan. 6 defendant Mike Adams has been designated a "fugitive" according to new court filings. His case has been dormant for nearly a year.

"And I am a lucky one. I got to remain free till sentencing. So this is the country that I now live in. Where the powerful few can attack an elected president attempting to removing him for 4 years and where elections no longer matter.
"We are no longer free. And this country WAS taken without firing a single shot. Guns are meaningless at this point. It was the First Amendment that people should have been fighting for the most.

“Adam got a god-damned shield, stole it from the fucking popo!”
A newly unsealed case against Jan. 6 defendants Adam and Brian Jackson of Texas.
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
I could be wrong (I often am), but I thought this particular judge didn't think the certification of electors was an "official proceeding" because there was no exercise of discretion involved. Or something like that. So it wasn't so much that their behavior wasn't obstructionist as it was there was nothing to obstruct.

Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
Nichols similarly had ruled (in the case against Garret Miller) there no obstruction because the statute "requires that the defendant have taken some action with respect to a document, record, or other object in order to corruptly obstruct, impede or influence an official proceeding."Maybenaut wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 2:25 pmI could be wrong (I often am), but I thought this particular judge didn't think the certification of electors was an "official proceeding" because there was no exercise of discretion involved. In other words, according to Nichols, mere tourism isn't obstruction.
Lang, of course, still faces two felonies and a bunch of misdemeanors.

JUST IN: DOJ indicates that Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman is expected to testify at the trial of Jan. 6 defendants Kevin and Hunter Seefried. Kevin Seefried was famously pictured carrying a Confederate flag through the Capitol.

More at the link. Comments areSCOOP: A D.C. chiropractor who stormed the U.S. Capitol has been arrested for his role in the Jan. 6 attack.
The FBI was at his office this evening, just blocks from the U.S. Capitol.
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
The linked article is very brief so far, but this:
Kelly, who describes himself as a "Michigan First" candidate running for the GOP nomination, was at the Capitol in D.C. on Jan. 6. It is currently unclear what, if any, charges he will face.
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
Ryan Kelley, the FBI says, was "using his hands to support another rioter who is pulling the metal barricade." https://documentcloud.org/documents/220 ... s_redacted
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
I wonder if the FBI picked this day on purchase as an appetizer for tonight's hearing? Are there more to come today?
The Criminal Complaint against Ryan Kelley, currently the front-runner for the GOP nomination for MI Governor.

I would have preferred they arrest him after he won the nomination, but that's just me.

Sooner or later, Ukrainian Nazis had to get worked into the right-wing J6 conspiracies. That day has arrived!
Re: Assault on the Capitol (DC)
If I have it correctly, he's the one with the black baseball hat on backwards.Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan D. Kelley was arrested today for his conduct at the Capitol on #Jan6
I filmed Kelley on the stairs waving on the crowd behind them before they pushed through police lines & breached the Capitol.
More from me on #J6 soon
