Rep. Claudia Tenney says people should go see ‘Top Gun’ tomorrow night instead of watching the J6 hearing.

When I hear something like that, my first thought is, "What are they afraid of me seeing?" but that's just me.

JUST IN: Eastman is asking Judge Carter to give him until June 16 to produce the remaining documents to the select committee, citing (in part) an obligation to inform people whose emails are about to be disclosed. Carter had asked Eastman to produce the emails by 5pm ET today.

Eastman is confused regarding what his true obligation is.

NEW: Pence adviser Greg Jacob intends to publicly testify at a hearing next Thursday, June 16, according to a source familiar with the panel's schedule.

Appears that may be the day where the Pence pressure is the focus.

I'm told that Jacob will be appearing under subpoena.
If anyone spots the time of this hearing, please post.

"For completeness," Jacob's 4-page memo to Pence.

It actually says little of note, and (as of December 8, 2020) noted there were no dueling slates of electors.

As the article notes, there also is a January 5, 2021 memo (not yet published), in which Jacobs slams Eastman's beliefs.

Nb.:
Politico wrote:On Jan. 6, as he presided over the session, Pence made two changes to the historical vice presidential script, explicitly rebuffing Eastman’s proposals. First, he emphasized that only electors certified by a state government would be considered — countering the notion that the alternate slates submitted by Trump supporters could be counted.

Then he explicitly offered lawmakers a chance to object to each state’s electors. That was a veiled rejection of Eastman’s plan to allow state legislatures to resolve the disputes instead.

Amen to that--but it is highly unlikely at this point. Hoping to March Saturday, though. NY21

Blue Team shows its work: The Jan. 6 select committee has conducted 107 interviews on the law enforcement response to the mob attack on the Capitol, according to a person familiar with the panel’s work.

That newly reported total suggests a more extensive review of Capitol security failures than has been publicly understood so far. Select committee members have tallied more than 1,000 interviews in the course of their yearlong investigation -- suggesting that about one in 10 were focused on Capitol security.

Under the radar: The select committee’s focus on Capitol security — headed by one of the panel’s five color-coded investigative teams — has remained the lowest-profile aspect of its work, less explosive than its effort to reconstruct Donald Trump’s effort to subvert the 2020 election. But the so-called “Blue Team” has been active.
:snippity:
A Guard focus: According to the person who spoke on the panel's work, addressing it candidly on condition of anonymity, the interviews include more than two dozen witnesses who discussed the National Guard’s response to the emergency on Jan. 6. That includes questions about the length of time it took the Guard to arrive at the Capitol, a matter of long-running contention over the accuracy of previous testimony to Congress. The committee has also obtained nearly 40,000 pages or records related to the National Guard response.
