All Dogz Worthy
Re: All Dogz Worthy
This just happened: My dog (~13-yo beagle mix) was napping in his favorite spot, and while still laying down asleep tossed his head back, formed his mouth into a perfect “o”, and said, “Oooowwooooooooooooooooooooooo!”
Then he woke up and looked at me all embarrassed.

Hi, Folks.
Some happy news today, and some not-so happy.
Our younger dog, Phoebe the Wonderdoodle, is 5 years old today:

Sadly, Chloe Doodle, her big sister, whose bark mitzvah we celebrated just a couple of weeks ago, has started declining health-wise. Not really unexpected in a 13-year-old standard doodle, but not easy to deal with nonetheless.

Chloe Doodle died today, aged 13 years and 15 days.
She seemed to be doing well for an old dog, but then she declined very fast. Which, I guess, is better than declining slowly. And she had a good, long life.
But it still hurts.

Thank you all for being good friends and good pet parents.

Re: All Dogz Worthy
I'm so sorry.
I'm watching my mixed doodle show his age more and more. Lots of sleeping. Awkward on stairs. It's so sad to know that our time together is getting shorter. Sometimes when I get home from work, I do his favorite thing - take him for a car RIDE! He's so happy that he licks my face when I'm driving him around. And on Friday nights, we stop at a little grocery store that sells fresh, meaty dog bones. He hangs out the car window, watching for me to checkout. All the clerks know him and often go out to pat him. I want him to have the best, happiest life possible.

The day we met the Maybedog. It’s blurry because he was excited.
