She's a far better liar than Sean Spicer or Kellyanne Conway can ever hope to be. She'll tell a lie and shove it into your damn ear, and she's got another lie right behind that one. She's not a credible liar by any stretch of the imagination, but she's one of the most forceful liars I ever done seen.

She comes by it naturally, the lying and general vileness, directly from Daddy, but you can see its affect on her in her appearance, she is choking on all the bile she is holding.

Much as I find Sarah Sanders a disreputable wretch I love the richness of Trump now being angry at her for not more deftly handling the story of the restraining he took out on his pornstar girlfriend. Some stories are harder to spin than others. Josh Earnest had it easy!

I think Sarah Sanders is figuring out that there's a bus out there in the parking lot with her name on it, and so she better start engaging in CYA, because her boss isn't going to do it for her.

Sorry, I don't see the spawn of Chucklebee being mart enough to EVER see the writing on the wall until well after the door hits her on the ass. She just ISN'T that smart.

Interesting twit thread here, and I'm putting it here since I cant think of a more appropriate thread.

A little context may help here… Everyday the White House pool - about 16 reporters - goes into various 'sprays', receptions, cabinet meetings to see what the president is up to. I've done thousands of these things. We almost always 'shout' questions. 1/ https://twitter.com/parscale/status/980 ... 17791746 …

There is no 'protocol', but we try to be respectful - not screaming across the Oval, not interrupting him, leaving when he says 'thank you', matching the solemnity of the occasion, not asking him about porn stars in front of little kids, or the First Lady… you get the idea 2/7

Obama almost never responded except to smile or kick us out. Trump responds pretty frequently, but sometimes bristles when he gets questions he doesn't like. Both hated it when it seemed like we didn't show enough respect. Sometimes we get the tone wrong or misjudge the room. 3/7

Worth noting, most of our transgressions (real or imagined) are from 'open press events' which almost anyone can attend. These events get a little more boisterous; more shouting, from more people, at events that tend to be outside or in bigger spaces. 4/7

But these events pools and other have taken on added importance during the Trump era. He holds no real press conferences and handpicks questioners when he does. Meanwhile the White House has infrequent daily briefings and almost always stonewalls legitimate questions. 5/7

Last week Trump had about one open press event, likely because he was dodging questions about Stormy. So given our paucity of options, sometimes you have to ask a question in a less than ideal situation or ask it more pointedly than you would with more time 6/7

.@parscale might think we don't show respect. But this dynamic is fueled by the WH's unwillingness to be accountable. I don't know a WH reporter who isn't mindful of the history of this place. We try to treat it, and him, with decorum, even if that is not reciprocated. 7/7
Ywit he is responding to

Sarah Sanders on criticism from McCain that Trump's rhetoric "emboldened" suspected chemical attack in Syria:
"I think that it is outrageous to say that the President of the United States green-lit something as atrocious as the actions that have taken place the last several days"
2:03 PM - Apr 9, 2018
No Sarah. McCain didn't even come close to saying that Trump "green-lit" the chemical attack in Syria. McCain said that Trump's statements about a having quick withdrawal of all US troops in Syria signaled to Assad that the US was becoming less concerned about what happens in Syria than it was formerly.

McCain comments again. Trump is getting pushback from those who favor a hawkish foreign policy.

Sen. John McCain blames Syrian chemical attack on "American inaction," implores Pres. Trump to take decisive action against Assad.

2:22 PM - Apr 9, 2018
"President Trump was quick to call out Assad today, along with the Russian and Iranian governments, on Twitter," McCain wrote. "The question now is whether he will do anything about it."

McCain went on to implore Trump to take a stronger stand against the Assad regime.

"The President responded decisively when Assad used chemical weapons last year. He should do so again, and demonstrate that Assad will pay a price for his war crimes."

The West Wing shouting match was so loud that more than a dozen staffers heard it.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders cursed and yelled at White House Counsel Donald McGahn during the February confrontation, according to two people familiar with the episode. Misleading statements about the domestic abuse scandal that felled staff secretary Rob Porter had dragged the administration into a maelstrom of chaos and contradictory public statements.

Exasperated, Sanders told McGahn she would not continue to speak for the administration unless she was provided more information about Porter’s situation.

The dispute, which erupted in a hallway outside Deputy Chief of Staff Joe Hagin’s office, was resolved after Sanders received the clarity she sought, the people familiar with the argument said. Hours later, Sanders returned to her lectern to field queries from a skeptical press corps, though her answers left reporters with more questions.

Poor Sarah*! I am verklempt over her treatment by Ms. Wolff and those evil Democrats! :sarcasm: Oh, those mean press people!

Her father taught her everything she knows about defending the indefensible. At least we won’t be lied to by a smoky-eyed, sultry Sanders for a while. That always stuck in my craw.

I thought she's still the acting chief prevaricator?

I imagine the conversation included this:

"These are lousy lies! I need better lies than this!"

I'm torn. I see the comment as more about her lying. I'm also not sure that "makeup" counts as "looks." Comments about things you're born with are out of line. But how you choose to present yourself is a little grayer. If your clothes are dirty/torn because you're poor that's off limits. But if you choose to wear a rubber duck as a hat, to me that seems a little more fair.

Smokey eye makeup is popular with "the kids." The only kinda, sorta criticism of Sanders regarding the makeup was that it might not be appropriate for someone in her professional position.

But, really, it was a criticism of her constant lying -- and not her makeup. The makeup was the set up to the punchline.
