Everyone should watch that bit of Hannity (to understand just how terrible and formidable Fox News propaganda is). It is an incredibly sophisticated and potent piece of propaganda. It has just enough truth behind it that it cannot be cleanly refuted which is leveraged with well-established prior "knowledge"* to create a case that appears damning that Mueller's investigation is simply a witch hunt. And I'm sure that the audience has no problem leaping from his explicit case that Mueller and his team are completely biased to the (mostly) implicit one that Trump is not just completely innocent, but actually the victim of ruthless people who's only agenda is for him to fail. In other words, people who are behaving the same way towards Trump as Hannity and the Republicans behaved towards Obama. Which is, of course, straight out of the Republican playbook.
Incidentally, the key difference (in my opinion) between Hannity's propaganda and legitimate analysis lies in the relationships. Hannity just makes some kind of connection (a political donation of a couple hundred dollars, for instance) and implicitly assumes that connection means a given person is completely and irrevocably tainted in whatever manner is convenient from that association**. A real investigation, on the other hand, is about documenting the relationships and showing how they caused or contributed to the behavior in question. This technique (I guess you could call it the "Glenn Beck" technique) is very similar to the post hoc, ergo propter hoc fallacy.
* Things that are perceived as justified true beliefs by Hannity's viewers.
** I would note that Trump is little more than Putin's hand puppet by that standard.
And a big thank-you to the FBI agent that thought that protecting Hillary from possible (merited) prosecution was more important than his agency's impartiality and integrity and then compounded this by giving the appearance that he wasn't impartial in his role on Mueller's team (and getting caught). When are Democrats going to stop trying to explain away all the sketchy things the Clintons have done?
