Not to be victim shaming, but where's the much vaunted 'personal responsibility' for either party?

Guess this is what happens when your sex education consists of abstinence only.

Is it time to add Bill Barr to the poll?

If Trump was a stopped clock he still wouldn't be right twice a day.

Nope. That performance was just political theater designed to make folks think Barr has morals, ethics or a spine. Approved in advance by the Dotard.

I agree.

Barr and Trump are on the same page. The interview was just scripted damage control.

My vote stands with Mulvaney. :thumbs:

I read somewhere Stone could have gotten much more, and the recommendation was kinda generous.

That sounds like the usual sloppy reporting, e.g., "the defendant is facing a maximum sentence of X years, but the prosecution is requesting <X years."

The federal statutory maximum in Stone's case, IIRC, is around 50 years. No one but no one thinks he'll get that.

So we can't add-on a few years for that horrid Nixon back tattoo?

I think the justice Department will end up recommending he be sent to his room with no dessert, Trump will still whine he's being persecuted and he might even get Ice Cream with his Chocolate Cake the next time he drops his bag money off at Mar-A-Grifto.

Trump has Barr in his back pocket in a way that he'd have no other. I wonder if their dues to the actor's guild are paid up?

Donnie has no loyalty but expects 100%. You could have chopped up your children for him, and he would still gut you for using a non Trump brand Handkerchief.

Barr is in the shit list.

Also When was the last time Trump sanctioned any criticism of himself?

Because Trump's obsession with loyalty means the very last people he's going to shove under the proverbial bus are his family. That's why they're there - because they will do what he wants them to do and tell them what he wants to hear.

Exactly, and he seems to be expanding his role (whatever it is). I suspect he's de facto chief of staff.

With Hope Hicks coming to work for Kushner I can see jealousy developing. Trump would have to choose between his daughter and her husband.

The Hill: Trump on anonymous official behind op-ed, book: 'I know who it is':
President Trump on Tuesday claimed he knows the identity of the anonymous administration official behind a New York Times op-ed and subsequent book, though he would not say who they are or provide any details.

"It’s not so much a search. I know who it is," Trump said when asked whether there was an ongoing effort to discover who the individual's identity.

Pressed on who the person is, Trump would not divulge any specifics.

* * *

The anonymous administration official has been the subject of fascination within the Beltway since September 2018, when The New York Times published an op-ed headlined "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration."

* * *

The person wrote a book last year titled "A Warning," in which they laid out more criticisms of the president. But the author refused to disclose their identity, even as multiple current and former officials testified publicly in the House impeachment inquiry about their concerns with Trump's conduct.

Politico reported earlier this month that deputy national security adviser Victoria Coates has been the subject of a whisper campaign among Trump allies who have sought to attribute the anonymous pieces to her.

Axios reported that Coates may be moved over to the Department of Energy amid the backlash, even as the book's publisher denied she was the author.

Trump is incapable of keeping a secret. If he knew who Anonymous was, he couldn't help but blab the identity. :roll:
