First lady Melania Trump on Thursday sent care packages to medical staff and children
...
The packages contained items geared toward young patients, suck as blankets, caps, tote bags, pencils, backpacks, stickers, Dr. Seuss books and games. Trump described them as “just a small token of my appreciation for their courage and leadership in this time.”
Children with Covid-19 requiring a hospital is statistically 0. As for the medical staff, did she throw in some PPE with those care packages?

So lemme get this straight.

At the site where our taxes are building her tennis courts.
And she thinks we should follow her example, and resents that we're not doing as much for others?

Okay, Jugz, you just arrange for the Treasury to come build my 5 car garage and detail shop for collector cars and I'll try to sqeeze in a few posts to Insta about that.

Dear First Mother (or 3rd), can you also convince First Husband to read more than his name when highlighted in a book :?: Actually I would recommend something special, nothing as difficult as a whole book, just something really short to start with, four pages of parchment, it's called The Constitution. Of course he may have a bad hair day thereafter, it's speaks about We The People, not about ME... Me... me... :blackeye:

Make fun of her surgically altered physique if you really want to*, but do we really need to continually ridicule her accent? Come on. She's not a native English speaker. That's not a personal shortcoming, it's just the result of being born in a foreign country. Or do you think that foreign-born people are not fit to be in a certain positions? My wife's parents also have a heavy foreign accent that makes them difficult to understand sometimes. Will you ridicule them for that as well?

* But actually, don't. it's pretty juvenile.

I would rather we stick to mocking her for the meaning behind the things she says and does. Not that thrilled with the criticisms about her fashion, decorating, style, looks, surgery, or nationality.

I've seen her modeling portfolio. She's fit to be in any positions.

Let's keep in mind how this Maladministration treats immigrants and constantly creates hatred of "the other." I think most of the humor is directed at the rank hypocrisy. YMMV.

She can afford "medical treatments" but she can't afford some one on one language lessons to make her more easily understood? The same goes for Taitz. When communication skills are essential for getting your point across, it's a small investment. OTOH Melania has never been anything more than a trophy for Trump. Yes and no are all that was necessary before Trump was elected.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... renup-book
Melania Trump delayed coming to the White House after her husband Donald Trump won the 2016 election because she was renegotiating her prenuptial agreement, a new book has claimed.

The delay after Trump was inaugurated in early 2017 was officially explained as the first lady not wanting to interrupt the schooling of the couple’s son, Barron, in New York. It triggered a wave of media speculation that the couple’s marriage was strained and criticism of the high cost of providing security for Melania and Barron as they lived away from the White House.

But a new book by the Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan, of which her newspaper obtained a pre-publication copy, claims another reason for the delay in Melania moving into the White House was a renegotiation of their pre-marital financial agreement.

“Jordan reveals … that the first lady was also using her delayed arrival to the White House as leverage for renegotiating her prenuptial agreement with President Trump,” a news report in the Post said.

Well, that makes sense. More sense that anything OSG has said in 3 and a half years (about anything.) She never wanted to be first lady. I'm sure that leverage also included a threat to divorce and never go to Washington.

Yes, it certainly was a great time to leverage the prenup. Hopefully her lawyers thought to put in a clause that gives her tons of money if he pays hush money to a porn star. Because, after all, the entire purpose of this marriage was money.
Edit: No love in the WAPO comments section of Andy's linked article. For some reason, folks are offended by her birtherism.

Surprise, surprise, surprise! That didn't take long.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnbfcL
The East Wing on Friday dismissed a new book about first lady Melania Trump that reported she waited to move to the White House in 2017 while she renegotiated the terms of her prenuptial agreement with President Trump.

"Yet another book about Mrs. Trump with false information and sources. This book belongs in the fiction genre," Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's chief of staff, said in a statement. The statement did not address any specific claims in the book.

The Washington Post reported Friday morning on a forthcoming book from one of its reporters, Mary Jordan, about the first lady prior to and during her time in the White House.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyl ... story.html
This article is adapted from “The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump,” which will be published on June 16 by Simon and Schuster.
Melania Trump did not even like to be called by her new title at first.

“She said, ‘Stop calling me first lady,’ ” recalled one of the people who worked with Melania after the election.
The New York City mother known for sending emoji-filled texts was now being invited to give speeches around the country. For years, she and her husband had a bodyguard, but now she was being protected 24 hours a day by Secret Service agents. There was always someone standing guard outside her door, and the animosity directed at her husband worried her.

“At the core, I think she’s a private person who’s spent a lot of time adjusting to public life,” said one person who worked with Trump on the campaign and has remained close to the family.

At the time, It was speculated the order for her to move to the Shite House came because New York gossip mags were openly talking about how Melania was playing hide the salami with one of her security guards, and Donald the Hutt couldn't stand talk of himself being cuckolded and laughed at.
