I'm not entirely sure and I don't know why I think so, but isn't Bob Woodward a Republican?

I've only recently started viewing Trump's tweets over at Twitter and it's totally worth it for the replies. If there are positive responses, they're hard to find. Virtually all the responses are full of snark, disdain, and/or disgust at Trump.

The already discredited Woodward book, so many lies and phony sources, has me calling Jeff Sessions “mentally retarded” and “a dumb southerner.” I said NEITHER, never used those terms on anyone, including Jeff, and being a southerner is a GREAT thing. He made this up to divide!

Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Fake NBC News said it’s time for the Press to stop complaining and to start fighting back. Actually Chuck, they’ve been doing that from the day I announced for President. They’ve gone all out, and I WON, and now they’re going CRAZY!

Doesn't a tiny voice in the back of his head go, "uh oh... if *I* think they've been fighting back, and *they* think they have yet to fight, what's it going to be like when they *do*...?"

No -- he has no meta-awareness of anything concerning himself (and everything concerns himself). If he thinks it, it's true.

Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost. Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?

Woodward has tapes too..

channel surfing this AM, CNN or MSNBC played his tape of a phone conversation with Trump recently, after Trump found out about the book. Trump complains that he didn't even try to talk with him about it, says he tried through 6 different people .. including KAC.. later KAC comes in to the room (call still being recorded) and admits that she "didn't approve" the contact.

And word is he has many many more tapes..

On the tape, Woodward tells Trump that there are "hundreds of hours" of recordings with current and former staffers. He's trying to warn him, but you know it won't stop the Trump Train.

or he'll say Woodward fudged around with the tape

it goes like this:

he didn't say that
he said it, but that wasn't what he meant
Obama and Hillary said it all the time
he said it but was supposed to be off the record
they recorded him in secret
he knew they were recording but he thought the mic was not on
that wasn't him on the recording
that was his voice, but the recording has been tampered with
he didn't say that
fake news

CNN: By calling Jeff Sessions a dumb Southerner, Trump has done the impossible:
If, as Bob Woodward alleges and is being reported in early extracts of his tell-all book about the Trump White House, President Trump called his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, an Alabama resident, a "dumb Southerner," he may have finally done something he has long been unable to do: unite black and white Southerners.

We may not agree politically; actually, we disagree passionately on most issues. We don't see eye-to-eye on the issue of race and Confederate monuments and memorials. Even our views of Jesus and Christianity are diverging and increasingly at odds. But boy are we tired of having to contend with the stereotype that we are slow and unintelligent.
WaPo: Trump’s contempt for his Southern base finally gets GOP senators riled up:
The Southern senators understand all too well how the president’s seething contempt for his base plays back home. They were fine when Trump in effect insulted Southern voters’ intelligence by spouting screwy conspiracy theories and outright lies; they just don’t want him verbalizing his low regard for their intelligence.

Moreover, what these and far too many Republicans lack is any empathy, any ability to put themselves in the shoes of those who don’t look and, yes, don’t sound like them. When Trump is spouting vile stuff about African Americans, Mexicans, members of the media, etc., it’s just “talk.” They need not respond, you see. It is only when they and their constituents are on the receiving end of the president’s bigoted remarks that they discover an obligation to denounce stereotyping.
More wishful thinking at the links: Until the tapes are played, the president's supporters will accept his denials as sufficient.

Does the so-called “Senior Administration Official” really exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source? If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!

I'm sorry, but when did it become a national security thing to call the President an idiot?

Because before Trump, the New York Times never criticized a President.

Trump thinks that treason is a failure of loyalty to him personally. It reveals a lof about him.

Nope, that's when you make secret deals with foreign enemies to hurt our country, like letting them help you influence an election.

The highlighted part is another smsll example of Trump's patheticosity. Few (any?) previous presidents would have wished to change the libel laws. Many previous presidents had law degrees so would have known why Washington politicians don't change libel laws. But if there were another non-lawyer president tussling angrily with this issue, he would first have turned to one of his advisors or staff and said "hey, can we do something about these libel laws?", listened to the explanation, then dropped the topic long before it left the Oval Office.

Who knew presidenting could be so difficult? :-D
