Hey, Trump was right about a recent incident in Sweden
Three suspected neo-Nazis were arrested in January after a Gothenburg Asylum centre became the target of a homemade bomb attack, leaving one person seriously injured.

Security services said all three suspects had previously been members of the Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR), a group that openly promotes racist and anti-Semitic views and has vocally opposed non-white immigration to the country.

The Swedish intelligence service Säpo said the incident on 5 January, which was also linked to two others in Gothenburg in recent months, appeared to be politically motivated.

Buzzfeed has a good article on the underlying Fox news segmnt on Sweden's alleged rise in crime rates, which is fake news, because it's not supported by evidence:

https://www.buzzfeed.com/dominicholden/ ... fy65RZrrbl

It includes this tweet, which I think reveals the significant underlying problem:
Beyond this incident (Trump was specific, said "last night"), there is a broader issue: Trump's view of Europe = Fox, Express, Breitbart etc
And this reply to that tweet:
Alberto Nardelli ‏@AlbertoNardelli 2h2 hours ago

Example: Swedish crime data shows no surge (http://www.bra.se/ ) to back Fox, Mail etc headlines. POTUS is acting on a misinformed view
https://twitter.com/AlbertoNardelli/sta ... 4413646850

Edit: to fix stuff and add the reply tweet

Great response to trumpsters:

http://politicaldig.com/poor-suffering- ... got-owned/
A Trump supporting Facebook friend told Scott Mednick, “We suffered for eight years. Now it’s your turn.

Scott wrote a brilliant response asking how exactly his friend had suffered under Obama:

“I am surprised you would wish suffering upon me. That of course is your right, I suppose. I do not wish harm on anyone. Your statement seems to continue the ‘US v THEM’ mentality. The election is over. It is important to get past campaigning and campaign rhetoric and get down to what is uniting, not dividing and what is best for
ALL Americans.
There will never be a President who does everything to everyone’s liking. There are things President Obama (and President Clinton) did that I do not like and conversely there are things I can point to that the Presidents Bush did that I agree with. So I am not 100% in lock step with the outgoing President but have supported him and the overall job he did.
:snippity:
But I wanted to look back over the last 8 years and ask you a few questions. Since much of the rhetoric before Obama was elected was that he would impose Sharia Law, Take Away Your Guns, Create Death Panels, Destroy the Economy, Impose Socialism and, since you will agree that NONE of this came to pass,
I was wondering:
Why have you suffered so?
So let me ask:
Gays and Lesbians can now marry and enjoy the benefits they had been deprived of. Has this caused your suffering?
When Obama took office, the Dow was 6,626. Now it is 19,875. Has this caused your suffering?
We had 82 straight months of private sector job growth – the longest streak in the history of the United States. Has this caused
your suffering?
" :snippity:

I think that the people running the President's daily intelligence briefings are going to have to start using a flannel board to keep his attention.

"President's... intelligence"? In this case it's a whole new oxymoron. It far surpasses jumbo shrimp and even army intelligence with this administration.

David Frum has penned an excellent article in The Atlantic - https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/ar ... cy/513872/
Those citizens who fantasize about defying tyranny from within fortified compounds have never understood how liberty is actually threatened in a modern bureaucratic state: not by diktat and violence, but by the slow, demoralizing process of corruption and deceit. And the way that liberty must be defended is not with amateur firearms, but with an unwearying insistence upon the honesty, integrity, and professionalism of American institutions and those who lead them. We are living through the most dangerous challenge to the free government of the United States that anyone alive has encountered. What happens next is up to you and me. Don’t be afraid. This moment of danger can also be your finest hour as a citizen and an American.

WaPo has a story on the Trumper rally "Trump supporters see a successful president — and are frustrated with critics who don’t" and the ending is...
On the supporter side was Tammy Mussler — a 48-year-old whose family runs a local mobile home and RV park and who said one of her guests was hesitant to tell others he was coming to the rally.

“He goes: ‘Well, I’m nervous because people are so nasty about it that you’re afraid to admit that you’re doing something,’ ” Mussler said.

Mussler said the women in her family are especially divided right now. She supports Trump, while they do not. She’s opposed to abortion rights, while they support them. They attended the Women’s March, while she found it not at all representative of her way of life.

Can this nation ever be united?

“I hope so,” Mussler said with a shake of her head. “I don’t know. I don’t know. It would be nice, and I think if — I don’t know, I don’t know.I think the only thing that’s going to reunite us is maybe the Lord coming back.”

At this stage, I think if the Lord came back, it'd be to hit Trump supporters on the side of their heads and say, Really? Have you actually read the Bible? And you think this guy speaks for me?

And Trump supporters would believe the good Lord was presenting alternative facts, and that Trump is the real messiah.

TV chef Gordon Ramsey is to host a charity buffet to aid the family of The Swedish Chef, who died in last night’s tragic Fernando Massacre.

News of the Fernando Massacre was broken last night by President Trump, with the terrorist group ABBA claiming responsibility this morning.

Ramsey and The Swedish Chef had worked together on-screen and off, becoming close friends in the process.

‘He taught me so fucking much,’ said Ramsey. ‘Not just about twatting food, but about bastard life too.’

The charity buffet will be attended by celebrities from all over the world, with all proceeds going to the family of The Swedish Chef.

The Swedish Chef’s wife had only this to say: ‘My heart is borken.’

From Jeff Tooley, a Nazarene pastor who attended the Florida Rally.
What I am about to write and what you are about to read may make some people very uncomfortable, if not angry.
That is not my intention nor is it okay with me to cause anyone to stumble. That being said, what I experienced tonight was so dramatic that I cannot help but reflect on it and share what I experienced.

A few days ago, people across the United States heard the news that our newly elected President would be visiting Melbourne, Florida – our hometown. It is no surprise to many that I do not support many of the objectives and "campaignisms" of Donald Trump. I know many people who voted for him - friends, family, church people who all voted for their own reasons. The point of this experience is not to relay all of the reasons why I think he should not be the president. Those points are moot – he IS our President.

Now, I am enough of a sentimentalist that when I found out THEEEE President was coming to town, I got online quickly and reserved two tickets.

The tickets were being given away by the Trump-Pence campaign; I found it odd that the tickets indicated that this was not a government/White House event & that this was a campaign event. I have, of course, posted a joking post about that earlier. What I discovered was that by hosting this as a campaign event, Mr. Trump could determine who was and was not allowed in the venue. If he came on an official visit, they could not prohibit anyone from entering and he couldn't sell his campaign merchandise.
The rest under the tag:
