White House press object to being used as ‘prop’ at Trump briefing with no social distancing, no questions
Reporters attempt to ask questions but are rebuffed by President Trump at the Rose Garden press briefing on Friday.

The White House turned the White House press corps into stage scenery on Friday, and may have violated its own social-distancing rules in doing so.

When reporters gathered in the Rose Garden for what they had been told by White House officials was a presidential news conference, they found several rows of chairs arrayed on the lawn. The seats were spaced far apart, in keeping with the public-health protocols that the White House has observed at indoor and outdoor press events since the coronavirus pandemic took hold in mid-March.

Just before President Trump and top officials emerged from the West Wing, staffers slid the chairs into close formation, bunching reporters shoulder-to-shoulder.

White House officials apparently wanted a tighter television shot, subtly reinforcing Trump’s message that the country is getting back to normal after three months in lockdown.

White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere told ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl, the president of the White House Correspondents' Association, that the arrangement “looks better” in TV images, according to a statement from the WHCA.

GOD he is nasty. How did flotits put up with him heaving all over her? I would not even be in the same house as he.
Because she thought he would be dead by now and she could have shacked up with her share of the estate with some other guy. She never in her wildest nightmares thought she would be trapped in the whitehouse with him at 75.

from the right spectrum ...
THE UNITED STATES MAY ECONOMIC NUMBERS KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK - WELL DONE, TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

To be nice to the naysayers, I've used the NBC news team's reporting on the economy. The leftists don't get to sniff about FOX, that way. So, for the grownups in the rooms, this is FANTASTIC news, and is a testament to the excellence of leadership that has been practiced by this Administration on behalf of all of the citizens of the United States. The leftwingers will be happy, however, to watch NBC do their damndest to throw shade on the good news. Business as usual of course, for the MSM, and leftwingers eat up the negative spin with big, large Skexsis spoons. Chow down, lefttards. Have some crow with your spin and fake narratives.

Governor Janet Mills and other state delegates release statements ahead of President Trump's visit
By News Desk | Posted: Thu 5:57 PM, Jun 04, 2020 | Updated: Thu 8:55 PM, Jun 04, 2020
AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Governor Janet Mills is speaking out one day before President Trump visits in Guilford.

This comes after comments she made days ago saying she was concerned about the President's visit.

Congressman Jared Golden and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree are also commenting.

Mills hopes the President will hear the concerns of Mainers during his roundtable, especially when it comes to the commercial fishing industry.

Golden says he hopes for the same.

“While I’m glad to hear that the president will also hold a roundtable with representatives of Maine’s fishing industry while he’s in our state, I have to ask: where has he been for the past four years?... We are long past the time for roundtables — Maine lobstermen need action,” said Golden.

Mills urges Mainers whether they support or disagree with what's happening throughout the nation right now to exercise their rights with respect and also remember to be safe.

In a video message posted on social media today, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) said President Trump’s planned visit to Maine is “just one more way to divide us" as the nation grapples with a deadly pandemic, record unemployment, and widespread peaceful protests of police brutality and systemic racism.

As for President Trump?

"I again ask the President to check his inflammatory rhetoric at the door and abandon the divisive language that sows seeds of distrust among our people. I hope he will heed this call and appeal to the best in all people and lead us with courage and compassion through this difficult time," said Mills.

Looks to mew like if we can get enough Big Macs over to the residence, the phucker might suddenly assume room temperature and end this show before November.

Maybe a stroke, on live TV during the acceptence speech, and he lingers past Labor Day, which kind of ruins the campaign for Pence as the successor.

This is now my porn.

Not my desired scenario. I want him to watch the Biden inauguration. I want the helicopter that whisks him away to circle the inauguration crowd, showing Trump a crowd that is bigger than his was. After that, well I don't give a rat's ass of what misfortune confronts him.

He'll never turn up for Bidens inauguration. He might claim he is going to then not, but he won't be there.

GUILFORD, Maine — President Donald Trump visited Maine on Friday and toured the Puritan Medical Products facility in Guilford. It was a big day for the small town, and for one of Maine’s oldest businesses.

Trump toured the production line wearing no mask or protective gear and even put a swab near his nose.

“I shouldn’t tell you this, but I use it every other day,” Trump later admitted to the workers during his speech.

According to USA Today, the company will ultimately be throwing out the swabs that were being manufactured during his visit. The exact reason or how many is unclear at this time.

Puritan is considered one of the top manufacturing companies in the world making specialized testing nasal swabs for COVID-19. Maine and the rest of the U.S. are facing a shortage of testing supplies.

I'd guess he went into some areas without proper gear because the plant management was spineless..

Or the swabs are now all full of shit because they were near him.

Either works for me.

The plant only ran a limited line on Friday, and had always planned to scrap the swabs produced for the photo op. You don’t want lots of people in your sterile production facility.

Normal, compassionate people who are told that might have second thoughts about being responsible for a delay in production of medical supplies.
