"SGA" is the Student Government Association. University of Alabama is a public institution.

Over/under on a First Amendment lawsuit?

So no threats of lost seats for holding a pro-trump rally, only a protest?

That doesn't sound fair.

From AL.com -

Ahead of Trump visit, UA SGA warns students: No disruptive behavior
Jason Rothfarb, vice president for Student Affairs for University of Alabama SGA, issued a follow-up statement regarding his previous email related to disruptions during the Alabama/LSU football game. The email was published via social media:

“Some have misinterpreted my comment regarding “disruptive behavior.” As with other games this season, Organization’s Block Seating locations will be clearly marked, but at certain times, other students can and should have access to open seats. By disruptive behavior, we are asking students to be respectful to all students and staff and avoid altercations.

My email has nothing do with anyone’s First Amendment rights and I am sorry for any confusion. Please express yourself and especially your pride for the Tide.”

:snippity:

In a separate statement, Jackson Fuentes, SGA Press Secretary, said "The SGA strongly affirms its belief in free speech and the rights of all students to express their opinions. Today’s report erroneously assigned a political context to a message meant only to remind students about heightened security and the consequences of altercations or other behaviors unbecoming of a University of Alabama student, as defined in the Capstone Creed.
Of course, booing Trump would be disruptive, cheering him would not be. We know how that works.

1. Bama seems to be concerned about booing/protests;

2. The backpedaling occurred after the University's general counsel got ahold of these knuckleheads.

i am petty enough to hope that he fucks everything up and earns the emnity of every fan in the stadium.

That was about my 5th choice for a smiley thingy, but the first 4 would have gotten me on some watch list and I need to fly later this month, so we went with the wiener dog.

President Donald Trump ordered to pay $2M to collection of nonprofits as part of civil lawsuit

https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-foundat ... itter_abcn
The order stems from a New York attorney general complaint that alleged the Trump Foundation conflated charity with politics.

The foundation has already agreed to cease operations and must pay the two million to a consortium of nonprofit organizations.

The two million must be paid by President Trump himself for breaching his fiduciary duty to properly oversee the foundation that bears his name.

"I direct Mr. Trump to pay the $2,000,000, which would have gone to the Foundation if it were still in existence, on a pro rata basis to the Approved Recipients," the judge wrote.

Above the door on the north portico, they should add the inscription:

Another strange occurrence today. As the White House press pool was being escorted to the Oval Office for a photo op with @realDonaldTrump and victims of communism, the @WhiteHouse suddenly closed the event and sent the pool back to the Brady Briefing Room

So...

Am I the only one who thinks that breaching his fiduciary duty to properly oversee the foundation that bears his name is an impeachable offense?
