I think Facebook and Google should be held to the sane standards of fairness and factuality that Fox News is held to.

If there were money to be made in special Google and FB pages for nut jobs, you'd think they'd be doing it now. The non-thinkers already have Fox News and Rush, so why not internet pages for their own little delusional world? Just don't go messing with my reality-based internet pages.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham suggests having the government take over Facebook and Twitter ‘like public utilities’

Yeah, right.. facebook and twitter are "public utilities" but the internet itself isn't (see "net neutrality")
Also, too: IANAL, but if the gubmint sticks in their fingers, doesn't the first amendment kick in?
Ingraham went to Dartmouth and University of Virginia Law School, no less. She's no dummy and knows full well that she's spewing nonsense to the debased base.

President Donald Trump’s allies went on the counterattack Saturday after tributes to the late Sen. John McCain took pointed aim at the president.

As Washington mourned McCain, Trump’s people grew angry. Some even hoped for — but didn’t get — a blistering tweet from the president. And they privately chastised Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, for attending the senator’s memorial service.

“@realDonaldTrump ran for @POTUS ONE time and WON,” tweeted Katrina Pierson, an adviser to Trump’s campaign. “Some people will never recover from that.”
:snippity:
On Saturday, Trump’s allies groused about Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s presence at an event that portrayed the president in such a negative light, with one person calling their attendance a “huge mistake.” Another complained that they had been seated too far back in the church.

It was a very nice gesture by Jared and Ivanka to attend,” said Sam Nunberg. “I find it contemptible that the McCain family couldn’t seat them in a better, more respectable section.”

Well sure, the funeral should have been all about Jared and Ivanka. Maybe if they had the decency to be dead next time ...

I heard Trump is getting back at McCain by not inviting John to his funeral. Take that.

I once read that mobsters generally tried to have a more showy funeral than the last mobster. In true form it wouldn't surprise me if Thump did the same. Imagine if they invited all his molls.

From the pool report: "About a dozen protestors set up a series of signs along the sidewalk outside the club including 'Resign' and 'Liar.' The Trump baby balloons were also out. They shouted 'resign' as the motorcade passed."
I might need one of those balloons to hang by my desk and annoy my Trump loving boss.

Wonder if they'll be the hit of the halloween costume market this year?
Edit: Trump baby balloons are listed for sale at Amazon

Wandered into our local Spirit Halloween store the other day. They have those inflatable baby costumes which looks like you're a chubby baby only wearing a diaper. They also have trump masks. I know I'm not the only one who thought about pairing them together.

When can somebody charge trump with accessory to attempted murder?

(edited to note that it wasn't an accidental collision. He intentionally rammed the building several times before exiting the vehicle, screaming incoherently. Police brought in a bomb robot because of items in his truck.)

also too, also, I saw on the twitter machine that Fox 4 wasn't his intended target. He wanted to hit TV station WFAA but went to the local Fox affiliate by accident. Well, he IS a trump MAGAt, not known for their keen intellect, but DAMN! anybody can voice recognition Google and get directions where they want to go. You have to be especially stupid to make that mistake, especially considering the building clearly said Fox 4 directly above the area he crashed into. And he rammed it multiple times!

Has anyone ventured over to Fox and see how they're covering it? I might try after dinner has been digested. :swoon:

Oh, please do. Watching the Tee Vee is against my religion, but I enjoy it when others describe the insanity. If I had to guess, I would think tonight is a good night for Fox News to explain that there are SO MANY different ways to cook Brussel sprouts!
