Dang. The look on Melania's face was heart breaking.

I watched the video and showed it to Bob. I posted it on a Friends Facebook page and when I tried to watch it to make sure it worked ok...

This video has been removed by the user.

:madguy: Ninja'd about the removal. And really feeling sorry for Melania.

What was that about Melania not moving into the White House?

The one where he drop the smile and says something to her turns around and she looks down, sad? Its still on twitter

And the right wing are saying its reversed. The problem is that someone DID reverse it and it looks even worse that way, AND she would have to be clairvoyant to smile at the right time before he turned around.

Melania and Barron Trump Won’t Be Moving to the White House for at Least 6 Months
.....
A source tells PEOPLE that Melania Trump and her 10-year-old son Barron will not move into the White House for at least six months, allowing for Barron to finish out the school year in New York City.

NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell also shared on Twitter that the mother-son duo will move in at the end of the school year. <snip>
http://people.com/politics/melania-barr ... hool-year/

(too bad about the Ambassador's kids that may not get to finish their year in their current school)
Here’s How Barron Trump Will Get to School Now That Donald Trump Is President

So much for the bus. Barron Trump will now be escorted by the Secret Service and NYPD, along with his mother, first lady Melania Trump, on his way to and from his private school. But according to TMZ, the traffic won’t be too much of a burden on New Yorkers.

According to the site, streets will be blocked off in a “rolling pattern for just a few minutes to allow the first lady’s convoy to move quickly” from midtown’s Trump Tower to Barron’s school on the Upper West Side, and routes will be regularly changed for security purposes. Barron is due back at school this Wednesday, January 25.

As previously reported, Upper West Siders and parents who have kids enrolled at Barron’s prestigious private school, Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, are rightfully wary of having the president’s son enrolled there. "Some parents are freaking out and worked up about security and what the school is going to do," a school board member told Vanity Fair, and another added that she’s nervous about “some type of Mexican multicar street abduction” occurring.

Melania, 46, previously explained that she’s going to keep Barron enrolled at the school, which costs $45,000 annually, throughout the year in an effort to not shake up the 10-year-old's life too much while his father, President Donald Trump, settles into the White House.

"At that age, it's hard to explain to them," Melania told Us Weekly about Barron being nervous to switch schools. “I tell him: Take it day by day, enjoy your life, live your meaningful life as I like to do. … Of course, at that age, every child would worry, especially if they love school, if they love friends, they don't want to lose that. Everything is a new opportunity, and it brings new friends and a new school. You never know, you never know what happens. Enjoy it day by day, live your life and don't stress yourself."

The new first family’s decision to stay in New York City, as previously reported, was estimated to cost NYC about $1 million a day. While Melania and Barron remain living at Trump Tower, President Trump is expected to commute back and forth to the White House. Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump has moved to Washington, D.C., with her husband Jared Kushner and their three kids while his sons Donald Jr. and Eric Trump will stay in NYC to run the family empire.

Cool view of people. Barron is next to Melania, leaning slightly forward. Melania is either very, very tired or bored to death. She can't seem to keep her eyes open. Also too, check out the many empty seats directly behind the (Marine Corps?) band. Sad.

The bizarre story of Trump’s plagiarized inauguration cake

It all started when baker Duff Goldman of Ace Of Cakes fame tweeted out this photo:
Duff Goldman Verified account
‏@Duff_Goldman

The cake on the left is the one I made for President Obama's inauguration 4 years ago. The one on the right is Trumps. I didn't make it.

As Goldman points out, Donald Trump's inauguration cake looks suspiciously like the one he made for Barack Obama in 2013. But the story got even better when the bakery that made the cake in question chimed in too:

The caption reads:
Excited to share the cake we got to make for one of last night's inaugural balls. While we most love creating original designs, when we are asked to replicate someone else's work we are thrilled when it is a masterpiece like this one. @duff_goldman originally created this for Obama's inauguration 4 years ago and this years committee commissioned us to re-create it. Best part is all the profits are being donated to @humanrightscampaign, one of our favorite charities who we have loved working with over the years. Because basic human rights are something every man, woman and child~ straight, gay or the rainbow in between~ deserve!

So not only did Buttercream Bakeshop happily give Goldman credit while tacitly admitting how strange it was to be asked to replicate someone else’s design, the bakery also proudly noted that all proceeds from the cake would be donated to the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT civil rights group. But the story has one more twist too: The cake isn't even real. It's a prop made out of Styrofoam except for a three-inch slice for ceremonial cutting, which Trump and Mike Pence did with a sword. So, yes, if you need a metaphor for the incoming administration, Trump blatantly stealing Obama’s cake but making it a fake one works quite nicely.
Duff Goldman ✔ @Duff_Goldman
Remembering a fantastic cake I made is awesome and the chef that re-created it for @POTUS Trump did a fantastic job. Group hug, y'all.

Where I grew up, Mormon wedding receptions were extremely casual and consisted of turning up to the cultural center (the odd name Mormons give to the basketball court in the church building, although to be fair it also has a stage, which was primarily used to store the basketballs) where the wedding party had tried to disguise the hoops with flowers and oversized paper fans, dropping your gift off at the table, grabbing a slice of cake, eating it, and going home. There was always a pretty wedding cake, but that wasn't the cake that was served. The cake that was served was a sheet cake, and the pretty wedding cake was usually cardboard, styrofoam, or sometimes rice crispy treats, covered in a lot of frosting. So congratulations to Trump for copying Eastern Oregon Mormon chic!

ETA: No lie, I was 20 before I learned that most wedding receptions involve an actual meal. Also no lie, I prefer Eastern Oregon Mormon receptions. My husband and I hate weddings so much, we would've happily been married by proxy had it been an option; it wasn't so we did the sensible thing and eloped.

Went to my first Orthodox wedding. It was different. The bride is escorted from her home by 2 men other than her father and related males men with a shirt pinned to her gown with the two escorts each holding a shirt sleeve. As they walk onto the lawn the men pull out hand guns and empty them into the lawn, everyone hurries to their cars before police can respond.

Their cake was styrofoam except for the Top Tier.
The cake was yuuuge, similar to this one. $15k guests sheet cake included .

Kellyanne Conway Reportedly Punched a Man at an Inaugural Ball

This is how intense the news has been for the past four days: One of President Trump’s top advisers reportedly got into a fist fight at an inaugural ball, and no one noticed.

On Saturday afternoon, Fox Business correspondent Charlie Gasparino wrote on Facebook that a fight broke out between “two guys in tuxes” during one of the parties, and “suddenly out of nowhere came trump [sic] adviser Kellyanne Conway who began throwing some mean punches at one of the guys.” He said no one was hurt “except maybe the dude she smacked,” adding, “Now I know why trump hired her. Btw I exaggerate none of this.”
Charles Gasparino
on Saturday
More detail on my post trump inaugural fun and games: first met my pal Scott baio outside the victory ball. We said hello when a bunch of anarchist thugs began to descend on us screaming "hey Chachi are u fascist?" One made an aggressive move toward us i shoved him away and he said "touch me again u little prick and I'll smack u" my response: "GFY asshole" that's when my producer Brian Schwartz intervened and crisis was averted. Part two was even more insane: inside the ball we see a fight between two guys in tuxes and then suddenly out of nowhere came trump adviser Kellyanne Conway who began throwing some mean punches at one of the guys. Whole thing lasted a few mins no one was hurt except maybe the dude she smacked. Now I know why trump hired her. Btw I exaggerate none of this-cg
Gasparino also tweeted:
Charles Gasparino ✔ @CGasparino
Wild night for me & @schwartzbFBN witnessed @KellyannePolls in middle of a fight at Liberty ball; stopped a thug from attacking @ScottBaio
10:41 AM - 21 Jan 2017
On Monday, Gasparino reposted the Facebook message because “there are some erroneous reports out there on the inaugural incidents.” Initially Gasparino’s claim in the same post that he and Trump supporter Scott Baio were harassed outside the Liberty Ball drew more attention. On Twitter, Baio and his wife, Renee, retweeted Gasparino’s account of the incident. <SNIP>
