GIULIANI: "The President would testify tomorrow if it was about the truth. The truth is he had nothing to do with Russia ... Martha Stewart never would have gone to jail if she hadn't gone and testified."
CUOMO: She lied.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't see Giuliani's media appearances as helpful to Trump.

But Trump allows it, because Trump wants someone to go on TV and attack anyone who is against Trump.

In the car this morning I listened to some of Rudy's appearance on MSNBC mentioned above.

That man is batshit crazy.

He does the usual nonanswer-by-shift-to-a-talking-point, except he'll run through parts of three or four talking points in one sentence.. total word salad.. and when the host pushes back on some barely-decipherable point, Rudy non-answers with a whole new set of partial talking points.

I don't know how Cuomo managed to not roll his eyes completely around in his head..

But during a live interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo Friday, Giuliani was forced to confront remarks he made in 1998 that appear to undercut that very assertion. “You’ve got to do it,” Giuliani told Charlie Rose when asked about a presidential subpoena in 1998. “I mean, you don’t have a choice. There is a procedure for handling that.”

“That’s extremely unfair what you’re doing right now,” Giuliani complained as the clip played on a split screen. “This is the reason people don’t come on this show.” He later called the network “disgusting.”

Bet Trump loved that. You know he was watching. We know Giuliani never mentioned his previous thoughts to Trump and now the country will watch it on a loop.

In the Cuomo interview, Giuliani talked over his 1998 statement to Charlie Rose, so here's a clean copy of his 1998 statement. Embarrassing. But then, like Trump Giuliani has no shame.

I was listening on the car radio during that 1998 segment replay..
He was clearly trying to make sure his words in the clip weren't audible.
I would have cut his mic.
What an ass.

That talking over the clip just makes Giuliani look worse. Protesting too much, etc., etc.

Next Rudy will be saying Mueller is only working under an Admiralty Court and is only investigating Trump’s “straw man.”

Rudy's saying the quiet parts out loud again..
“We want to see how the briefing went to today and how much we learned from it,” Giuliani said in a Thursday phone call. “If we learned a good deal from it, it will shorten that whole process considerably.”

Giuliani: Trump asked White House lawyer to go to Russia briefings

A White House lawyer's presence at classified intelligence briefings Thursday on the FBI's tactics in the Russia investigation came at the request of President Trump himself, according to his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.

Emmet Flood, a longtime Washington attorney who joined Trump's legal team earlier this month, gave brief remarks before a pair of meetings between senior law enforcement officials and key members of Congress at the Justice Department.

"The President personally wanted Emmet there today," Giuliani told ABC News.

The White House said that Flood and chief of staff John Kelly made an appearance before the meetings began to stress the need "for as much openness as possible under the law."
...............
Trump has asserted without evidence that the FBI "embedded" a "spy" in his campaign, claiming it was part of a politically motivated effort to hurt his campaign.

Giuliani said he and the rest of Trump's legal team have yet to receive a readout of the information discussed in the meetings Thursday, ABC News reported.

Giuliani: White House wants briefing on classified meeting over Russia probe

Rudy Giuliani said Friday that the White House wants to know about details shared during a classified briefing for lawmakers this week on the origin of the FBI's Russia probe, and may use the info to justify trying to shut down the special counsel investigation.

In an interview with The Associated Press, the former New York City mayor said that the White House wants a readout of the information presented to lawmakers, particularly on the FBI's use of Stefan Halper, an informant who contacted several advisers to Trump's campaign during the 2016 election.

President Trump and his allies have made unproven claims this week that the informant was used to "spy" on his campaign for political purposes.

“If the spying was inappropriate, that means we may have an entirely illegitimate investigation,” Giuliani told the AP.

“Coupled with Comey’s illegally leaked memos, this means the whole thing was a mistake and should never have happened,” Giuliani continued. “We’d urge the Justice Department to re-evaluate, to acknowledge they made a mistake. It’s a waste of $20 million of the taxpayers’ money. The whole thing is already a waste of money.”

I think Giuliani should get the briefing he requests -- in the context of a Brady disclosure.

My understanding of a Brady Disclosure is the need to provide defense with an possibly useful evidence for defense.
Am I wrong?
If not, wouldn't that only be appropriate after indictment?
