It's before the House Oversight Committee chaired by Rep. Elijah Cummings. That will be must see TV. (Ninja'ed by AndyinPA).

Yeah, but he has enough to say about things unrelated to the Russia investigation that are worth hearing, assuming he doesn't perjure himself.

Calm down, everyone.

I'm tempted to ask him when Stormy testified in Stormy's case, since the only thing going in that proceeding is the hearing on the motion to dismiss coming up on January 22, but given how thin-skinned he is, I don't want to upset him any more than he already must be.

God I am so over Avenatti.

I liked him for about 15 minutes. I wish he'd just go away now.

He's still stuck on "Look at MEEEEEEEEEEE!" in the wake of the announcement that Cohen will testify before Congress...

At this point, Avenatti's tweets are intended for a basically clueless audience. To be clear, Avenatti is upset that he's asked Cohen to:

(a) sit for a depo under oath-he refuses; (b) turn over docs to my client-he refuses;

On points (a) and (b), if there were any legal obligation on Cohen's part to do either of these things, of course they would be done. You do not "ask" someone to sit for a deposition or turn over documents, you require those those things to happen. They have not happened, because this case is pending hearing on a motion to dismiss. Avenatti's previous motions for accelerated discovery were denied by the court. Avenatti's inclusion of these two items is intended for people who are thoroughly ignorant of how lawsuits work. Moving on with the list of gripes:

(c) apologize to my client-he refuses;

Apologize for what? Apologize for arranging to pay her $130k? Apologize for seeking to enforce an agreement she signed and accepted $130k for? Simply because she changed her mind and wanted more money is not a reason for Cohen to apologize to Daniels for anything. I gather Avenatti is upset that "the guy we're suing won't admit liability for anything". Oh well. These two are even more ridiculous:

(d) help my client against Trump-he refuses; and (e) stop helping Trump in our case-he refuses.

These two things aren't even true. Cohen has helped Daniels immensely by agreeing to everything that Daniels, via Avenatti, is seeking in the suit - i.e. a declaration that the contract is void. Both Cohen and Trump have conceded the entirety of the claim. Avenatti has withdrawn the only claim seeking damages (i.e. the defamation claim) from this case, since he realized that one is an exploding cigar.

It might, in fact, be a good idea for Avenatti to start helping his client in that case.

It's sad, though, how he's degenerated to the level of spouting transparent bullshit for the consumption of a fanbase that doesn't know any better.

Thanks pal.

For a guy who is 99% showman and 1% lawyer, Avenatti is committing the cardinal sin: He's become boring. He's like the bad stage act that won't give it up even after the gong has sounded about fifty times. Where's the hook when you need it?

His Kavanaugh non-witness was pretty much Geraldo and Al Capone's vault for me. If you are going to be as loud as Avenatti, you've got to produce every time.

Then there is the indictment of Jr. that was supposed to happen by the end of last year.

Not confirmed, but heard on MSNBC who says Stormy Daniels and Avenatti (sp?) will be at Cohen's rodeo with Congress.
