If Trussell is trying for an early release, it does suggest that he has learned a really important lesson: that he must respect rules and cannot choose and modify those rules. If that is so, whatever goes on inside his head is unimportant, if that lesson means he's not going to cause trouble again. He can think sovcit all he wants, as long as he doesn't act sovcit.

Personally, I think he's been in prison long enough for the crimes he committed, but I know I'm soft-hearted compared with the legal folk on this.
DID TT really learn his lesson? I doubt it. In fact I suspect he may have his own little prison seminars teaching others his constitutional BS. I doubt he has even learned the lesson that Dowdell/Daresh/Vidurek are not his friends and he was only a dupe. I don't think TT is very bright.
You might well be correct, PG. It's not easy for us sensible folk to imagine how the thought processes of someone like Terry Trussell operate. He could be holding onto his sovcit beliefs because he feels it gives him some focus and moral strength (of the "I'm right, and I'll show them" sort).

But it is difficult to understand how the sovcits fail to identify that their gurus have feet of clay, yellow blood and no generosity.

I doubt very seriously that TT has learned a thing or changed. He has had 70+ years to learn and he hasn't managed it yet, I see no prospect of change.

Thanks Realist! In 667, Inger got her extension until September 17 so this may be it, the masterpiece they've worked night and day on for what, almost a year? Get ready for some legal brilliance, nothing like we've seen before!

Due on Monday. Is USPS back in business in Florida yet? If it isn't already in the mail, providing USPS is delivering, Inga had better be planning on a road trip.

If she's putting the final touches on this masterpiece and just needs a bit more time, they'd probably grant Inger a Hurricane Irma extension. No one else but us seems to be keeping track, can't imagine why. Why isn't he writing to Sharon Rondeau? Where's Rodger B. Dowdell, Jr.?

And missing Paul, hope you're OK!

Has anyone downloaded the initial appellant's brief? I looked, but didn't see it anywhere. Thanks.
