A while back I submitted a diary detailing the shenanigans of one Terry Trussell of Cross City Florida, who was recently arrested for ten felony counts including impersonating a public officer, retaliation against a public officer and unlawful use of a simulated legal process. For a quick refresher, here's the link for that diary:

Well Thursday was arraignment day and he did not disappoint. Follow me below the orange web of deception for an update.

WTH? Rep. Ted Yoho was on Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer tonight for 10 minutes and he never mentioned Terry Trussell! :madguy: And Wolf didn't ask. Some friend Ted turned out to be.

Well, at least Terry can be satisfied he took out Jeff Siegmeister.... oh wait.

LIVE OAK — It was a packed house at the swearing-in ceremony for eight newly elected public officials Tuesday afternoon.

Nearly 200 people crammed into the second floor courtroom at the Suwannee County Courthouse as David Fina, third circuit judge, swore in the officials.

William F. Williams was sworn in as county judge.

Serving Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor Counties, Blair Payne was sworn in as public defender for the third judicial circuit.

Jeff Siegmeister was sworn in as state attorney.

Charges against pipeline protesters dropped
By Thomas Lynn tom.lynn@gaflnews.com Apr 30, 2017

LIVE OAK — Charges against three Sabal Trail pipeline protesters who were scheduled to be tried in court this week were dropped by the state attorney’s office.

Jeff Siegmeister, state attorney for Florida’s third judicial circuit, said the decision was made for a couple of reasons.

“We made a decision to not give the protesters a platform and not waste the taxpayers money,” Siegmeister said.

Steven Glazer, the protesters’ lawyer, said he was prepared to fight the case in court, but is happy the charges were dropped.

I doubt if Yoyo even remembers TT or that he ever spoke to him. More important things on his mind, like lunch, getting re-elected.

So is Terry continuing to enjoy his extended stay in Florida's behind-the-bars bed & breakfast facility while his lawyers continue to seek continuances and bill his family?

Of course he's still in the slammer, where he is very likely to remain for the entirety of his sentence. His legal brain trust has fees to run up and they can't do that if they actually like maybe file something responsive to the court(s). Not that I have any expectation of that EVAH happening.

If only Terry Trussell wasn't in jail. National Donut Day is Friday, June 2! He could have gone with Judge Hankinson and Mr. Meggs and gotten a free donut at Krispy Kreme or with beverage at Dunkin Donuts.

It's almost here. National Donut Day, a day devoted to getting your hands on a free doughnuts, is only a few days away.

The big day is Friday, June 2, and some of the biggest names in doughnuts have already announced special giveaways.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Guests get a free classic doughnut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage. The offer is good all day at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

Krispy Kreme: Get any doughnut of your desire-– for free. No purchase necessary.

This year National Doughnut Day marks the 100th anniversary of World War I, where the Salvation Army Donut Lassie was born. The "Donut Lassies," also known as the Doughnut Girls, served along the front lines during WWI and WWII, giving soldiers free coffee and doughnuts in the trenches.

If they stay out of jail so they can get free donuts.

Quick update:

#1: In the separate appeal which Garcia filed regarding her/Trussell's claim of contempt against Juror Cannon, the 1DCA's deadline for her to file a petition for review (on that specific issue only), was yesterday, 6/2/17. Didn't happen. Garcia filed no petition, nor did she file a request of extension of time.

#2: In the main appeal, the deadline for filing the appellant's (Trussell's) initial appeal brief is Monday, 6/5/17. We'll see...

I keep refreshing the page thinking maybe it's just a delay in the docket since Inger's been working on this since Feb 20. :P

02/20/2017 Notice of Appeal Filed Inger M Garcia 0106917

A while back, we speculated about whether Marie might welcome a break from Terry's idiocy. If that's the case, this strategy is working out perfectly.

I'm really looking forward to the initial appeal brief, with all the time they've had no doubt it will be masterful. Maybe Terry will be walking out the door next week with an apology!

Poor Terry Trussell.

Indeed.

Today is 6/5/17. The initial appellant's brief in the main appeal at the FL 1DCA was due today. Not filed.

The cert petition for review regarding the appeal of the lower court's denial of Garcia's contempt charges against Juror Cannon was due 6/2/17. Still not filed.

Tomorrow (6/9/17) will be the 1 year anniversary of the beginning of Trussell's trial. Today (a year ago) was Trussell's 5th to last day of freedom.

Does Florida law permit a motion for a further extension after the deadline has run?

If it does, what are the chances the DCA will grant such a motion? Didn't they previously say "no further extensions," or am I remembering that incorrectly?

Yeah, I'm thinking that either Terry has run out of money, or has decided not to pay any more lawyers so as to avoid further impoverishing his wife.

And he may have full faith in whatever common-law nonsense that Dowdell is promising to do on his behalf.

Dr. C, on the main appeal (after multiple extensions were granted), the 1DCA, in granting the last extension to 6/5/17 basically said, "That's it. No more extensions without a reason equivalent to the wrath of God." That said, if Morburger gets the appellant's initial brief in within the next few days, the 1DCA isn't going to make a big deal out of the missed deadline. That's because, in Florida, we have an unwritten rule in the district appellate courts which is to not punish an appellant (particularly an incarcerated one) for his attorney's incompetency and professional lapses.

However, if Morburger filed for another extension now (lacking any proof that the wrath of God did, in fact, visit itself on his head), the 1DCA would take a dim view, and the State would vehemently oppose. At this point, better a few days late than asking for another extension unsupported by wrath.

It must be a clerical error, Inger must be cooking up something so delicious she needs a few extra days, it's only four days late so far. Go get em Inger! :boxing:

The bad news though is only $10 three months ago on #JusticeForTerry. Where are all his friends and supporters? It's like they've forgotten about him. What about Charles Edward Lincoln III, has he offered to help with this? And Rodger B. Dowdell, Jr.?

My take on it has been that if there sis something really really stupid and self destructive TT will probably do it/fall for it, so that is unfortunately a very real possibility.

I am however betting on the run out of money scenario as well as general ineptitude of the assorted counsel.

My opinion not withstanding, has not Ingie dingie's and Morburger's behavior reached malpractice and sanction levels at this point? I personally think they are both reprehensible but I don't know if they have reached the level of official notice yet. I keep hoping.
