I imagine some of these people are wishing they hadn't gone the severance by delay route, and now wish they had gone to trial with the Bundys.

Yes (not just owning, possessing as in touching, holding, kissing or fondling). They are felonies.

Anyone know if the 'Poop-trots' were taken into custody before the sentencing, or released till sentencing?

They've been released until sentencing, which is scheduled for mid-May

Well...the peeps at the freeway ramp begging stations have money for smokes, so all's fair. :sarcasm:

Yeah, but why is it that the folks who beg on street corners are always smoking manufactured cigarettes (no roll yer own)? I thought they didn't have money....(some of them can make up to 40K a year though according to one old man who had his own street corner - Gawd help ya if you tried to beg on HIS corner.) When I smoked, I gave a guy a couple of cigs, but he gave them back and just wanted the money.

Daryl Thorn is in his early 30s??? Why do these guys all look 15 to 20 years older than they are? Don't tell me it's from being outdoorsy. A lot of outdoorsy folk look their normal age.

I'm happy with the verdicts. That all-white, fairly rural jury had me seriously concerned. :-D

It would be interesting to know what happened to the felony charges Patrick was facing in Georgia. Of course good ol' boy Jason is white, so maybe Georgia doesn't care.

I'm surprised and generally okay with the verdicts as well. I think everyone who attended, all of them, down to the last visitor, should be charged with trespass. People get charged with that for engaging in short-lived actual protests in the real world. So far Mr. Thorne has gotten the comparatively raw deal here.

What is the takeaway from this? That you can take over a government building, with guns and ammo, and that is considered a protest by some? Or for some, but not for others? Very muddled message.

In the words of the great philosopher, Forrest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does."

I can easily live with a little bit of this and a little bit of that as a result.

I want to be a fly on the wall in the Nevada cells when the defendants in the Nevada case hear about how these dopes got nailed.

I want to be a fly on the wall of the homes of the rest of the Oregon defendants.

By the time the Government tries the case a third time, it should have enough "practice" to get it right.

Oh, wait: today's news means this Government team will not be trying the rest.

S**t.

Maxine tweeted that Judge Brown would look into it. Haven't seen anything on it being fact yet.

At least one guy from Daily Kos tried to pass as a visitor, but I think it was Cooper or Payne who ordered him out. With multiple guns casually showing.

I'm pretty happy with the verdicts. A clean sweep would be nice, But I'm happy. This forces a divorce from the paythreeoats and their true love, GUNS.

Agreed. Felony convictions for all, it's sufficient. If only the first trial had ended this well.

According to the Houston County Georgia Superior Court website, the case is still active. Last activity was defense notices and discovery motions on 11 Jan 2016 (yes, 2016).

I've lost track - are there any Oregon defendants left who have not yet been tried or pled guilty?
