In the top post, she is angry over all the objections and in the bottom are her impressions of the people that she thinks ratted on her and her shirt. Isn't it amazing how she is able to tell just by looking at someone that they probably retired from a government job and that the other is well off and lives in the city!! Frigging Psychotic!!

There are exceptions, but they're rare.
I think that admitting the public, and especially the press, protects the defendents' right to a fair trial. If something fishy DOES happen, hopefully, independent eyes and ears will be there to bring it to light.
The judge also has a right and duty to control the proceedings and the courtroom.

Both sides have a right to have a fair trial.

Yes, but the judge will shut it down. And if she thinks Mumford is using a trumped up ethical conflict to avoid the rules of evidence, she wouldn't be too happy about that, I imagine.

Angela Divencenso is probably right when she says we know where the juror's heads are at, namely there are bad vibes towards to the "free the Bundy's" crowd.

Anyone know who Aliso Cox is?

So I guess the federal agents that they were trying to impede with the guns weren't the employees of Malheur but rather the FBI.

No way a judge would let a represented defendant make a statement. Testimony must be elicited through proper (non-leading) questions. Orly Taitz did a masterful job of that when she called herself as a witness

Ex Fire Chief Briels was interesting when he got on the stand. The jury hadn't entered yet. He standing and making sighing noises loud enough to be picked up by the witness microphone. He puts both hands on top of his head and starts rubbing, rubs his eyes, pulls out a handkerchief and wipes his face.

Nervous, maybe?

What was the context for this? Was it in relation to noises/laughter from the gallery? Or in relation to something else?

And I thought Sheriff Ward had the look of, 'Don't let me make the stumbling sentence that let's these guys go free.' He needn't have worried.

I don't really know what comment caused that comment from JAB. Ryan B was questioning Briels about the FBI agents outside the armoury. Ryan was stuck on their clothing. Obj. Irrelevant. Ask another question.
RB: it is relevant.
RB: How were the men dressed?
JAB: I mean it now. Do not ask another question about dress. **This is where something happened in the gallery or defendants mumbling or something I couldn't hear.
Then from RB: not addressing the court but mumbling loudly 'the truth has to come out'.

09/14/2016 1277 Order by Judge Anna J. Brown. After reviewing the discovery issues raised in Defendant Ryan Bundy's Motions 1206 , 1207 , 1208 , 1209 , 1211 , 1212 , 1213 , 1224 , the Court determines a government response is necessary to complete the record on the discovery requests contained therein. 1387: Similar to 1379; tl;dr. Pity Judge Brown who has to rule on (it looks like) a majority of 100 pieces of evidence.

1388: Ryan Bundy’s crowd sourcing of 1352 backfired and here have some very powerful footnotes that were accidentally waylaid. But footnotes are not attached. Instead we have an affidavit which says Ryan Bundy expects the government to magically supply the specific evidence that they did not provide the still unspecified evidence. This affidavit looks identical to that attached (somewhat more appropriately) to 1389 below.

1389: A late sur-reply brief to the already adjudicated motions 1206, 1207, 1208, 1209, 1211, 1212, 1213, 1224 some of which were also untimely because jury selection had already begun by the time of 1206. Except 1352 was the reply motion. So here Ryan Bundy is making up his own procedure?
Edit: Reminder -- 1206 was itself largely similar to 180
Edit: Added links to Jack's re 1387, 1388, 1389
