Once CA results are finalized & Maine ranked-choice vote is calculated, this could easily end up being a *39* seat Dem gain in the House. If provisionals erase an 890 vote R margin in #GA07, could even hit +40, but unlikely.

This article from "The Sydney Morning Herald" may upset a few people but here goes anyway.

"If the US were a developing country, we’d send in international observers to monitor whether the elections were 'fair and free'."

Hi Dick! Great seeing you! Weather in Broward County is hot and humid, those protesters are sweating their asses off and spending their money in our county so

Like we've been saying all day, there's been no evidence of fraud. Rick Scott's monitors just confirmed it again. Have been asking Trumpers if they are starting to see the hoax Rick, Marco Rubio and Matt Gaetz have been pulling. So far mostly no.
Rick Scott's monitors agree with state cops: No Florida voter fraud
By MATT DIXON 11/10/2018 01:32 PM EST

TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Rick Scott asked state law enforcement to investigate Broward County election officials because of potential “rampant [voter] fraud,” even though monitors from his own administration say they have seen none in that county. “Our staff has seen no evidence of criminal activity at this time,” Department of State spokeswoman Sarah Revell wrote in an email on Saturday. Scott is the state’s current governor and the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate with a narrow lead over incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.)

That assessment, which was first reported by the Miami Herald, jives with that given by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which said Friday it has also seen no allegations of fraud. Despite his own administration and state law enforcement saying there is no evidence of voter fraud, Scott held an event organized by his Senate campaign Thursday night to ask the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate Broward County and Palm Beach County, which are playing a big role in a recount involving his race against Nelson.
***
The unprecedented Scott request amounts to a sitting governor asking state law enforcement to investigate local election officials involved in counting ballots for a race in which he is a candidate. Additional Department of State staff were sent to Broward County after a federal judge found in May that the county’s Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes violated state and federal law by destroying ballots in Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultzs 2016 re-election bid. At that time, Scott, who has the authority to remove Snipes from office, said the state would be sending additional election monitors to Broward County for the 2018 election.

The department sent two staffers to Broward County starting Nov. 6. Revell, the DOS spokeswoman, not only said those monitors saw no signs of fraud on the ground, but have not yet produced any work product or report related to their observations. “There are no reports from the observers,” Revell said. The staffers on the ground, who Revell has not identified despite questions from POLITICO, were given a number of tasks and will be on the ground in Broward County until the election is certified, a process that could go on long after Election Day. “Two staff members from the Division of Elections were assigned as observers to monitor the administration of the election, including visiting polling locations throughout the day as needed and observing preparation of the voting equipment and procedures for the election,” Revell said.

Of course, the vile Laura Loomer is here. This afternoon, the DOE had a press conference and must not have recognized her because she got in, it's unbelievable how she screams at the DOE counsel and worker trying to answer questions. Laura was yelling questions like, "When will Brenda go to jail?". Apparently now she's been banned. Video (I'm not sure how to make a Twitter Periscope show the preview on FB): https://www.pscp.tv/LauraLoomer/1BRJjXNpMRpKw

This really pissed me off and I reported it to FDLE and FLL Police, this Orlando idiot was at Broward DOE with a megaphone yelling at the peaceful Gillum supportes, it was outrageous, he ran the siren on them at 23 minutes in. They should throw his scrawny ass in jail. Of course, this is all Roger Stone... even Jacob's megaphone had a "Stone's The One" sticker on it (Loomer has one too). Video:

Wow CJ, isn't that a young Matt Schlap in the middle of that photo? Gray hair, grayish shirt, angry look. Didn't know he was there, it figures though.

Spent the day working and decided to engage with Twitter. I'm shocked at how absolutely ignorant to basic civics and government these folks are. Literally had to explain what the House was, it was an ignorant "the House doesn't mean anything, the Senate is what's important" rubbish. A couple of them after screaming for arrests of Brenda Snipes finally listened and looked up sovereign immunity and seemed to wake up a bit. But mostly it was "lock her up" and "where's the bench warrant" and (the best) "the feds should take over" (a State election!!). They don't even know what they stand for, it's just mob think. Their little protest plans were ridiculous, this election is on schedule and while it may seem FUBARed, all counties (including Broward) met their goals today. This goes on till 11/20, no idea what Loomer and Ali thought would happen (though Roger Stone is paying the bills apparently... their air tickets they say were $740 each cause it was an emergency  ). I'm happy they are spending their donations and parent's money in Broward County :P and I guess at worst the kids got a Sat night in Fort Lauderdale :towel:

Holy cow, you're not kidding, he's a total loon. I'm not sure how he did it, but the camera is backwards, all the tshirt letters are reversed. Never seen that. He says he lives an hour away, that's spooky. Loved how he announced Rick Scott had won and he couldn't wait to see the faces of Democrats. Then toward the end he and some guy called Joe Biggs he seems to have a crush on read that the recount was ordered. It's really funny. He actually chest bumped a guy to say hello. I'm watching it, skipped through their singing The Beatles. Ok, so he's talking to Andrew Pollock who's saying he has an anonymous source in the jail... a guard who has been there 20 years said they're registering criminals. "(Liberals) hate the country cause of the way they vote"

I've been watching a lot of these and the pattern is clear: the Democrats are staying together, singing, dancing and saying count the votes, and these Alt Right idiots are yelling at them with megaphones and getting in their spaces and faces. Remarkable restraint by the Democrats there, if it keeps up they'll need to separate the groups. One good thing is Fort Lauderdale police must be watching all of these and prepping for tomorrow. Good these idiots baked in the sun today and are getting rained on tonight. It's coming down in buckets from about 1:45am, right at closing time, people are running to their cars. Hope these Alt Right folks aren't sleeping in their cars

That always happens with poot videos. Seen it many, many times. They do not know how to flip it. Watch almost any Moo driving video and you will see it, looks like she is in the UK, Australia, Japan, India, Malaysia etc.

The kids got some press from Newsweek and Daily Beast but they aren't too happy about it.
PROUD BOYS, LAURA LOOMER JOIN GATHERING OF CONSPIRACY THEORISTS, CELEBRITY TROLLS, IN FLORIDA TO STOP VOTES BEING COUNTED
BY DANIEL MORITZ-RABSON ON 11/10/18 AT 4:34 PM

Far-right agitators and conspiracy theorists are protesting outside the Broward County Board of Elections, claiming that Democrats are trying to steal Florida's senate race, The Daily Beast reported. Florida declared a recount for its senate, governor and agricultural commissioner races on Saturday, as discord mounted over allegations of fraud. As the vote count continued on Friday, a conglomeration of right-wing figures gathered to protest the Broward County tally.

Members of the Proud Boys, a far-right group that describes itself as "Western chauvinists" and has violently clashed with Antifa, were in attendance. The Daily Beast reported that "right-wing activist Laura Loomer, a former James O’Keefe associate who has made her name by yelling at prominent Democrats in a stunt that she calls 'Loomering,'" was heading to Broward County. "I’ll #Loomer the whole state of Florida if that’s what it takes," she posted.

GOP political provocateur Roger Stone, who has been branded a "dirty trickster," also headed to the demonstrations. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum conceded the race to Ron DeSantis on Tuesday night. It later became clear that many ballots had not been counted. Approximately 33,600 votes -- a .41 percent margin -- separated DeSantis and Gillum.

Miami New Times has a great article with lots of links including the invites they were passing around:
Pro-Trump Protesters, Conspiracy Theorists Descend on Broward County's Elections Office
JERRY IANNELLI | NOVEMBER 9, 2018 | 12:48PM

Claims by Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. Marco Rubio, and President Donald Trump that Democrats are "stealing" the 2018 elections in Broward County have sparked the expected reaction. Despite the fact there appears to be zero evidence backing up the claims, conspiracy theorists, right-wing grifters, and pro-Trump protesters are now descending on the Broward County Supervisor of Elections office.

The "Broward County Election Theft" demonstration seems to have been co-organized by a former Trump-campaign volunteer from Miami, Juan Fiol, who has been posting online. Miami Herald reporter Alex Harris has already posted that roughly 60 people appear to be outside right now chanting "Lock her up!" at Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes. The incident calls to mind the infamous 2000 "Brooks Brothers riot" — a pro-Bush "protest" that right-wing provocateur Roger Stone later admitted he organized.

Text-message invitations appear to show that some of the protesters arrived at the request of Andrew Pollack, the conservative father of a student murdered in the Parkland school-shooting. But many other online observers have pointed out that protesters are posting the #StopTheSteal slogan — a phrase that Stone himself has used often online and in various projects. As reporter Jared Holt at Right Wing Watch noted today, alt-right personality Jack Posobiec this week told his followers that Roger Stone is "on the ground" and that there are "assets going to be deployed" in South Florida.

Via text, Stone, who has a history of lying about things he's been involved in, denied any tie to today's protest: "The so called Brooks Brothers riot was citizen action to prevent a portion of ballots that had already been re-counted three times being taken by democratic elections board of commissioners to an area with no observers from the republican party or the media in violation of Florida sunshine law. The situation in Broward is in no way analogous therefor claims that I am seeking to foment Some kind of a similar citizen action is false. The single most important thing right now is for Governor Rick Scott to order FDLE to impound all ballots in Broward County in order to stop any potential manipulation of the ballots. Claims to the contrary are fear momgering and false." [sic]

Fiol, meanwhile, has posted tons of selfies online with various Trump Administration operatives and allies, including Governor-elect Ron DeSantis, National Security Adviser John Bolton, Trump cheerleader Maurice "Michael the Black Man" Symonette, Trump himself, and Stone: "If you want to be on FOX NEWS or CNN," come to the Broward Elections Office today, Fiol encouraged followers today on Facebook. He added in a subsequent post: "Democrats are trying to steal this election with a sneaky recount, we need volunteers to monitor the machines NOW."
***
And a slew of outright conspiracy theorists and right-wing propagandists have announced plans to descend on Broward County. Laura Loomer, the former Project Veritas employee so dumb that just last week she asked online if a Wi-Fi network labeled "FBI Surveillance Van" was, in fact, that of a real FBI surveillance van, has announced her plans to "monitor" the Florida recount. Likewise, Jacob Engels, an Orlando-based InfoWars contributor and journalist "embedded with" (read: likely part of) the alt-right, semifascist Proud Boy movement in Florida, also announced today he is traveling to South Florida to, in his words, "#StopTheSteal." Also en route is Ali Alexander, a self-described Republican activist who runs a political action committee financed by Robert Mercer, the billionaire known for propping up Trump, Steve Bannon, and data firm Cambridge Analytica. As Holt at Right Wing Watch has pointed out, a few of these operatives have histories with Stone — including Loomer and Engels. Via text, Stone referred to Loomer and Engels as "friends" but denied telling them to travel to Broward County or use the very specific hashtag that he uses all the time.

For those who have asked, this is the impoundment/seizure lawsuit. The judge denied alll relief except to have three more Broward sheriff officers at the facility, which we support to keep order. Next up is their lawsuit challenging ballots.

Whoa - @NBCNews/@TODAYshow reporting that “in mostly Republican Bay County, an untold number of survivors of Hurricane Michael emailed their ballots.”

Was that part of the emergency declaration? Asking b/c voting by internet is against state law.

Sounds like Gov Skeletor is having the whim whams. Hopefully for good reason, as in he rightfully and legally lost.

Rick Scott being sued now in Federal Court by the League of Women Voters et al.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/do ... it-recount
FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida — Republican Gov. Rick Scott has filed at least five lawsuits since Thursday against county election officials and instructed state police to investigate them for “fraud.” But on Monday, a group of Florida voters and organizations filed their own lawsuit that alleges Scott has illegally abused his power as governor to swing the outcome of his own high-profile race for US senator, wielding the threat of a crackdown and controlling state government in order to stop legal votes from being counted.

Scott’s tiny lead has shrunk in the Senate race against incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson as late votes were tallied last week in urban, left-leaning counties around Miami, causing Republicans to panic and accuse Democrats of trying to “steal” the election. Officials up and down Florida started a machine recount of the midterm vote Saturday, as mandated by law when the margins whittle below 0.5%, yet Scott has stood outside the governor’s mansion to decry Democrats and local officials.

“Scott’s continued interventions in the race violate the basic notion of fairness that no man should be a judge in his own cause,” says the suit filed by a voter in Broward County, the League of Women Voters of Florida, and Common Cause Florida. The groups are government transparency organizations that say they have members who backed Scott and Nelson. Another plaintiff is Joanne Lynch Aye, a voter in Broward County.
They are asking for a TRO for Scott to basically knock off his shit.

They added this note to the top of the article.
Editor’s note on Nov. 12, 2018: This story was published in May 2012.

The initial list of 180,000 names was whittled to 2,625, according to the Florida Department of State. The state then checked a federal database and stated it found 207 noncitizens on the rolls (not necessarily voting but on the rolls). That list was sent to county election supervisors to check and it also turned out to contain errors. An Aug. 1, 2012, state elections document showed only 85 noncitizens were ultimately removed from the rolls out of a total of about 12 million voters at that time.

Yeah, a TRO (an emergency injunction without notice to the enjoined party) is a very high standard. I'm not surprised they were unable to meet it. However, the injunction motion WILL go forward, after notice to Scott, so he has the ability to weigh in. In other words, it goes forward on a regular hearing schedule, not on an emergency basis.

ETA: Clarification.
