Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher aka Joe the Plumber has filed papers to run for Congress.Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher submitted a statement of candidacy for Ohio's 9th Congressional District -- a seat heavily changed in redistricting that will pit Democrats Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur in a primary. Wurzelbacher filed to run as a Republican.[/break1]usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2011/10/joe-the-plumber-congress-marcy-kaptur-dennis-kucinich-/1]http://content.usatoday.com/communities ... ucinich-/1Between Joe and Kucinich, there should be some good soundbites for the local TV stations.

I guess getting his plumbing license would be too hard.I guess it's far easier swindling money from morons than it is actually getting pipes working. To be a plumber you need to get actual objective results or you don't get paid. Come to think of it, Not-Really-a-Plumber Not-Really-Named-Joe would make a great birfer. All he needs is a Yahoo and a Paypal button.

This has a distinct Christine O'Donnell/Joe Miller epic fail feeling to it.......Prior to the election, it'll be called the 'Barometer of the nations feelings towards Obama' by the RWNJs, after he loses, not so much, just a blip

I guess getting his plumbing license would be too hard.Plumbers send Joe down the drain (actual headline) =))

Jim Kendzel is the Executive Director and CEO of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and hadn’t heard of Wurzelbacher’s run until POLITICO’s phone call. And he didn’t seem moved by it either way, saying: “We encourage all of our members to be active in legislative and code process both at the local and state and federal level promoting good plumbing, engineering practices.”

But as for Wurzelbacher, specifically?

“We really don’t have any comment related to that.”

Well, except on one minor detail: “I don’t believe he’s actually a plumber.”[/break1]politico.com/news/stories/1011/65746.html]http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1011/65746.html

Thank you WND.

First it was Todd Akin, then Richard Mourdock. Guess who decided to join them. Yep, Joe the Plumber. In affirming his pro-life stance, Wurzelbacher touched on Indiana Republican Senatorial candidate Richard Mourducks’ comment that pregnancy – even in cases of rape, is quote – “Something that God intended to happen.” “Rape is a terrible crime. And quite frankly, I think of Charlie Daniels… those are the guys I’d like to take out to a swamp and tie to a stump, and leave them there. That being said now, does that child deserve to die for the father’s sin?”[/break1]ideastream.org/news/feature/49885]https://www.ideastream.org/news/feature/49885An audio of Wurzelbacher's comment is available at the above link. Joe's abortion comment starts at the 1:43 mark (the whole audio is only 2min55sec).

Cross posted from OH-09 Joe the Plumber.

Joe the Plumber will not become Joe the Congressman.

Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bahk-kur) lost his bid Tuesday for a U.S. House seat in northern Ohio.

Veteran Democrat Marcy Kaptur beat the Republican in his first attempt to win public office.

Talk about trying to stretch your 15 minutes of fame.

I always liked his statement to the effect that the Founders knew socialism didn't work. But it'd be hard to top Joe's explanation of why the Holocaust happened: it was enabled by gun control. That's right, if Germany had had the equivalent of our Second Amendment, the Jews would have been able to defend themselves.

And so, another eminently qualified Republican candidate bites the dust.
