State Sen Emily Cain won the Democratic primary and will face former state Treasurer Bruce Poliquin who won the Republican primary [Congressman Mike Michaud (D-ME 02) is running for Governor]. According to the Bangor Daily News 80k+ out of 960k+ voted. Take a WAG what kind of Republican won the 2nd district primary when less than 10% showed up to vote.

The Cook Political Report Partisan Voting Index rated Maine's 2nd congressional district as D+2.

This is our new district.

We're used to being told it's our fault that men don't listen to us.

We actually did not -- we didn't feel like we knew enough; we lost track of when it was and then it was suddenly Tuesday and we thought we were officially "low information voters". We certainly could have. I registered to vote when we got our licenses last month, but Verbie could have as well. Same day registration, apparently! We'll be ready for fall.
