Foggy, Birfers won't view Berg's epic fail as an epic fail. Someone is SURE to say that the Obama Administration deliberately hamstrung efforts to get the word out and refused to publish photos showing the true depth of attendance. And they'll wind up with this tried and true nugget: "Well, whatever. The truth WILL come out."

To get a million attendees would have been momumental undertaking of enormous cost.Yup, it cost Beck millions of dollars and tons of airtime just to get 87,000 attendees.Imagine how much effort it would take to get more than that? You'd have to be a Jon Stewart or Louis Farrakhan.

To get a million attendees would have been momumental undertaking of enormous cost.Indeed. Which is why Berg was displaying a not-insignificant level of delusion when he wrote in his press release the other day (emphasis added):

"WE THE PEOPLE can, by way of the largest Rally ever in Washington, DC, have a ‘Peaceful Revolution’ and force Obama to prove he is ‘Constitutionally Eligible’ or resign from office."

You'd have to be a Jon Stewart or Louis Farrakhan. :lol:Or somebody with a true message that people wanted to hear, such as at MLK Jr.'s rally at the Lincoln Memorial. People came because they knew something big was happening and MLK Jr. was at the center of it. Berg is at the center of exactly nothing, and Beck has created his own swirling tiny universe of devoted followers -- although not that many of them showed up.I wonder how the retraining of that gaggle of geese is going at Area 51? Those guys sure blew it. They were supposed to fly much, much lower and leave mementos behind.

weigel gives phil a little luv. sorta:The Birthers: Still Here, Sort OfPosted Monday, October 25, 2010 9:07 AM | By David WeigelA friend points out that Phil Berg's long-delayed "Obama Birth Certificate March on Washington" happened over the weekend, with the man who filed the first lawsuit challenging the president's citizenship gathering a crowd of -- literally! -- dozens of people at the Capitol. He also talks about the SNL skit:"I don't understand why, if you were born in this country, you won't just show us your birth certificate," Reid tells the crowd. "I mean is that too much to ask?""You're right," Obama responds, "I probably should!"The laughter in SNL's audience was distinctly muted at that joke. Why? I'm encountering liberals all around the country who are despondent about the coming loss of the House and fully expect the Birthers to impeach Obama. They're not crazy; several Republicans who questioned Obama's citizenship on the trail are going to end up in Congress. I think the Republicans are just pandering and avoiding town hall boos. But even as the people who invented the conspiracy fade, they can admire how they've pushed a meme that will be with us, likely, forever.[/break1]slate.com/blogs/blogs/weigel/archive/2010/10/25/the-birthers-still-here-sort-of.aspx]http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/weigel ... rt-of.aspxDave, it just wasn't a funny joke.Yeah, a lot of people think the Republicans will try to impeach Obama. I think they will too. I don't think it will be about Birfer stuff though. I think they're using Birfer stuff to make the President appear to be Un-American. But I think they will try to impeach. On whatever they can find or manufacture. And PHIL, Congrats on being the butt of the joke. Again. Too.

We are a bit close to the trees on the Birther movement. When I bring it up among friends, I have to give an extended explanation of what I'm talking about. The SNL reference might have been a bit too esoteric.

The other half have *heard* of it, but know nothing beyond the basic 'Some conspiracy theorists think Obama was born in Kenya.'And I don't think I've run into a person yet who has ever heard so much as a peep about the 'two citizen parent' nonsense. This really is an esoteric little political arena we've gotten involved in.

No Nonsense Nancy is the woman in the photo in the WND post. She apologizes for not smiling. http://www.wnd.com/images/101023eligibi ... ly3.JPGShe also tells us that half of those people were tourists! I wonder if it was ducky hemenway who was passing out the lakin flyers? Dr Kate, you asked if they mentioned LTC Terry Lakin yesturday. Before Berg started his speech he asked for all veterans to come up on the stage and give their names, home, and division of the service they were in. After they were finished a young woman got up and said she was representing Terry Lakin. She told everyone that she had some flyers to hand out. People seemed to be aware of Terry because there was some clapping. I later went up to her to get a flyer and I gave her one that I was handing out. So two of us were handing out flyers of Terry.Attilisdaughter, that is me in the picture but I hope that you all will ignore it and get it out of yur minds because it is a terible picture. I didn’t smile because I thought they were only taking my sign. I think the sun was in my eyes, too. I wish I could have carried more signs. I had ideas for more. One thing I thought of about the rally. Although there wasn’t a huge turnout a lot of tourists were listening to the speeches. they were interested in what was being said. There were some moving around in our crowd and a lot standing in front of the steps of the capitol. With the loud mike they could hear way over there. These people didn’t just listen for a minute and move on. Most of them stood there and listened for over one and a half hours! Most of them may not have been aware before yesturday of Obama’s ineligibility. All of us who went to the rally knew of course , or we wouldn’t have gone. But Mr Berg reached almost as many people as were at the rally on purpose![/break1]wordpress.com/2010/10/23/psycho-terror-at-home/#comment-13216]http://drkatesview.wordpress.com/2010/1 ... ment-13216And, as reported at PatGund's blog, NoNonsenseNancy tells us Berg was late:no-nonsense-nancy Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 7:28 pmi just wrote a long post about the Berg rally today and it didn’t get posted because of Internet Explorer. I’m having problems with them.First, Quantum and Papoose, I am very glad that my Italian grandfather quit the catholic Church. he was supposed to have said that he couldn’t afford the cost of purgatory.I got home a little while ago from the rally. It was good. there were about 200 people there. The program was nice. I got a later start than I wanted to but it didn’t matter because he didn’t start it on time. He said he thought his rally was sabotaged because he took a 7 AM train that was supposed to arrive in DC at 9. It stopped on the tracks for no apparent reason and didn’t arrive until after 11! We were blessed with a gorgeous day, sunny and about 75. After the speeches he had an open mike for people to ask questions. Some obot got up and really blasted him and the rally, saying the attendance was pathetic. He said he sees more people than that at his supermarket. Some patriots were arguing with him and ready to light into him but Mr. Berg very effectively held them back, saying he had his right to free speech, etc. For a minute I thought we were going to have our first ever tea party brawl! I had my sign about the dual citizen issue and it was the only one of the kind there. A lot of people took pictures of it. Berg and everyone on the stage saw it because I made sure they saw it. I had a chance to talk to Mr. Berg and told him what I thought we really need to have is a real Velvet Revolution. He didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. He gave me his card and told me to email him about it. So I will.I have to hand it to Americans. There were people there from a lot of states, some traveling a long way. One lady drove for over 20 hours from Texas to get there. So friends, how are we going to get huge crowds to DC to finally get the usurper out of our House? I realize that we are a vast country and distances are just too far for a lot of people. People like Berg are just not well enough known to draw really large crowds. But we have to figure something out, and soon. In my opinion, people on the East coast should be able to get there most of the time. Think of how many people live just on the East coast! Maybe we should have 3 rallies on the same day, an east coast, a mid America one and a west coast one. We should unite as one large geographic area before they divide us into several ones and we can’t get together as one big country. As always:STOP THEM COLD!!ARREST THE CRIMINALS!![/break1]wordpress.com/2010/10/23/psycho-terror-at-home/#comment-13192]http://drkatesview.wordpress.com/2010/1 ... ment-13192Comments at kate's blog are bad as at offshore jobs bob's blog. Ya know, JY, there were all kinds of articles written during the Bush years about Barbara Bush's real father being Aleister Crowley, the black [link]magician,http://www.informationliberation.com/index.php?id=16683[/link]. Even [link]Rense,http://www.rense.com/general77/acrow.htm[/link] got in on the action. While I am mighty tempted to believe it, because I hate the Bush crime family and think that Barbara does look like Crowley, I don't.

I don't believe Sarah, either. That article was originally written by Joseph Canon on his Canonfire blog on April 1, 2006 (April Fools Day!) as a joke. [/break1]blogspot.com/2006/04/george-w-bush-barbara-bush-and.html]http://cannonfire.blogspot.com/2006/04/ ... h-and.html Others did pick it up, including Rense, posting it without credit to the original source (cuz it woulda shown it as an April Fools joke).

Philadelphia Weekly posted the video of the Birfer rally.

Remember Philly Birther Philip Berg? Us neither. But this video we found on Wonkette reminded us, the Philadelphia 9/11-Truth-Obama-is-Kenyan lawyer guy is still alive and kickin’, in spite of the CIA’s various likely plots against him. Then they quoted from their August, 2009 piece:

In the soft twilight of the first Saturday of August, a gray-bearded man in a dark suit stood on the grassy knoll in front of Independence Hall and declared for the benefit of a film crew on hand that we are, as a nation, through the looking glass, people. Black is white, up is down, cats are dogs and the President of the United States is a fraud and a liar, a “usurper,” a foreign-born alien unqualified to hold office and the fact that he currently resides in the White House represents a constitutional crisis on a scale not seen since the darkest hours of Watergate.

The man who said these things was one Philip Berg, Esq., a private practice lawyer based in the Philadelphia suburb of Lafayette Hill, a lifelong Democrat and a former deputy attorney general of Pennsylvania. The film crew was shooting a sky-is-falling exposé with the working title Fall Of The Republic: The Presidency Of Barack Obama , produced by Austin, Texas-based talk-radio host Alex Jones, whose previous work includes The Obama Deception, which alleges darkly that the president is a puppet of a multinational cabal of corporate oligarchs, and Loose Change, which claims that 9/11 was an inside job…Here's the thing, Phil. You only got a couple dozen birfers to show.

The post with the video has been up since 10/25. No comments. Not one.
