That is the Committee's precise intention. Maybe they got a good Communications person over the weekend,

For once, might be fun to tune into Fox instead of MSNBC/CNN.

Maybe. Will Hannity, Ingraham ignore it?

Fox, NewsMax, and OANN did not cover the hearing.

I've checked the fox website--nothing yet.

The January 6th Committee isn’t credible.

Mark Meadows did nothing wrong.

Four organizers of the Jan. 6 rally filed a lawsuit Monday against Verizon, in an attempt to prevent the telecommunications company from releasing cell phone data with the congressional select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol.

In their lawsuit, Justin Caporale, Tim Unes, Megan Powers and Maggie Mulvaney argued the committee doesn’t have the proper authority to obtain the data. The Jan. 6 committee’s subpoena to Verizon, requesting, call, text and location information “lacks a lawful purpose and seeks to invade the plaintiffs’ constitutional rights to privacy and to confidential political communications,” the suit says.

The suit says the plaintiffs have personally complied with the committee’s investigation, sitting for “lengthy” interviews and providing “thousands of documents to Congressional investigators.”

You know, Cupcake, the "right to privacy" doesn't actually exist explicitly in the Constitution, and off the top of my head, the most authorative court ruling I can think of that does protect it is Roe v. Wade.

Also, too, just the other day, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals very forcefully said that Congress sure as heck does have authority and a lawful purpose, so good luck with that argument.

Just sayin'...

Yeah, I suspect Jordan too. But its a really tough call between him and Gosar.

Maybe Gosar was using Jordan's phone?

Wasn't it always that content was protected but the meta data not so much? And did all filers have a Verizon phone card in use on J6 (and list it's number)or are they making a blanket claim on behalf of others (I did not read the law suit).

Although "Member of Congress" is commonly thought of as a House member, it could refer to a Senator.

Last night, as we all now know, the Jan 6 committee released texts that meadows got on Jan 6. I knew I had communicated a ton w White House officials that day as I sat in the Capitol.

This thread stuck out to me.

That’s because they were my texts to meadows.

Here they are from my phone. Anyway, I’m sure it will come out that this was me. Seems impossible that it will stay a secret. So out of transparency, here it is.

I got no response, for what it is worth. And that’s the end of the conversation.
